Attraction/chemistry system

Something i've wanted to see return in the sims 4 for a long time is the cemistry system from the sims 2 this was so in depth and added so much to the dating life's of your sims. As it is right now dating in the sims 4 is very easy and get's boring very quickly due to the lack of challenge. Your sim can just pick whatever sim they see chat a couple of times and it's time for the wedding imo that needs to change. So i thought what better way to add depth to the romance in the sims 4 than trough the chemistry system

what this will add:
Your sims are now attracted to certain sims if their chemistry is high enough this will be indicated by a symbol in the relationship panel if you hover over a certain sims it will be the same place where you can view their traits, job etc
While your sim is talking to a sim underneath the friendship and romance bar their will be a third bar indicating their chemistry. If they have the lowest chemistry it will be a broken heart sims with this type of chemistry will not have a great relationship and it will be hard for them to make it work. Sims with the highest chemistry will almost hit it off immidiatly just like it is now they will also unlock special romance interactions.

Their will be 4 levels of chemistry
-No chemistry
-little chemistry
-normal chemistry
-amazing chemistry

How does the chemistry work:
Chemistry is based of multiple factors:
Traits a sim who loves children won't go well with one who hates them
zodiac signs- this is all new sims with compatible zodiac signs will have a better chemistry
Turn on's and turn off's- Your sim can choose in cas what he likes and what he dislikes. He can choose 2 turn on's and 1/2 turn off's
For example a sim's turn on's will be brown hair and great smell and turn off's unemployed and smelly

Scoping the room
Your sim can now scope the room while in a public place once your sim does this one or more sims will light if the chemistry is high enough but you won't always succeed that depends on their turn on"s and turn off's
Items to help sims
their are a couple of items wich could maybe help sims like
perfume but if the sim has perfume as a turn off this could ruin changes of chatting him her up

As i said before i really want this in the sims 4 as it would add so much mroe depth to the game. Everything i listed above is from ts2 so for more info on it you could always check out sims wikia or the sims 2 nightlife walktrough on youtube. I wanted to add my own ideas on it but i will do that later if you have any suggestions please let me know i'm really interested in what you think

I loved this idea and I agree with you! It has become so easy for some couples to get together so quickly with such different traits. I'm not saying I wish it was impossible, but a little more challenging.

I also miss the signs, maybe with a Chinese zodiac option, if they are to do something with an Asian theme.

I really wanted it to be included in small updates. But for so many good ideas from the community, I think they're going to make a game pack.

Right it is way to easy and the chinese signs sound really good and if you have those and the astrological signs i think it's called liek that it would be really fun and challenging to find your soulmate

I think this is what the sims 4 really needs. I would love that if that was Implemented.

exactly the sims right now needs challenge and depth and imo this would add exactly that
i also would love for the memory system to return to give thweir life more meaning same with the fears and wants or an overhaul of the whims

Romance in the sims is currently down to just flirting enough, making it more detailed would be good. I think the growth and decay of the romance bar could be affected by attraction. I think relationships should have some kind of 'situation' that gives them context, like 'amazing', 'happy', 'stable', 'tense' or 'rough', that kind of thing, so we have different interactions and needs depending on the situation, to make it more alive I guess and make it more meaningful to spend time on it. Also, it would be cool to have that 'new romance' period at the beginning, giving a boost that makes it easier - but also one that doesn't last, so could be good or bad...

A good deal of the ideas about attraction and relationships could also be added to non-romantic relationships.

The ideas here are great and would definitely make romance more interesting in-game. Currently, it seems that if you carry out enough romantic and friendly interactions, you can force any pair of sims to partner off, regardless of traits, but that makes for some boring gameplay. Some might take longer than others, but if you're determined, you can have them meet and marry within the day. Having said that, here are some ideas I have that I think will make romance a bit more interesting.

Unrequited love - this one will make stories very interesting. You can have a sim in love with another, but they don't reciprocate those feelings, or are completely unaware of them, even though they're friends. Of course, this does require some sort of passive attraction system, because currently you can only have romantic interest if you actually carry out romantic interactions with them - the interest is created by us, the players. I hate that the relationship bars are always symmetrical. Some sims should be more/less receptive to certain types of sims.

Gender preference - it's great that you can adjust the gender options for sims as you see fit, but I also think there should be a preference system, where you can decide if the sim in question is attracted to only males, females or both. Some sims would definitely be straight or gay, but there are others that don't mind being with either. CAS would be a good place to add it in, right there with the gender customization options.

Faithful trait - there's already the non-commital trait, which means that those sims don't like being in the same relationship or job for too long and there's also the player trait you can earn from the serial romantic aspiration, so you can date half the town and nobody will care, but a faithful trait would be good too. It could be a reward store trait, since the soulmate aspiration already has a bonus trait attached to it. Faithful sims would be a lot less receptive to romantic interactions from other sims who they aren't in a relationship with and it would be a lot harder to convince them to leave their partners. Maybe they can even get angry at other sims who are persistent, once they find out that they aren't available.
