I really admire simmers who are able to have a sim start off with nothing and slowly earn what they need. I'm too impatient.

Aw thanks! I almost can't start any other way. I'm really good at rags to riches and try and find ways to make it harder. But sticking with the same game save is tremendously hard for me, lol. Like I've never gone past a couple months in the same save game. When I get 24 hours in sims 4 achievement, I'm like whoaaaaa I've been sticking with it 🤣.
