Harvest Legacy and SuperSim Updates
Pomegranate is her name, and she's known her destiny since she was just a little fruit. Her family legacy is to save seeds, perfect them, and hand them down to future generations. Not that every child in the family will be a Botanist like Pomegranate wants to be, but each child will be in charge of perfecting one plant, and of course Pomegranate's perfect plant is none other than the pomegranate. But first she has to find it. Their family name is Harvest, and their family legacy is as Seed-Savers. Pomegranate is collecting all of the harvestable from the wild that she can possibly find. She doesn't trust the quality of seed packets, so other than a few heirloom seeds (ie. seeds that came in Seasons that can't be found in the worlds), she must find all of her plants in the wild. Pomegranate is on long life span for now, and I plan on starting with Base Game, Seasons, and the Greenhouse Kit. I'll add in packs as I need them to explore and enjoy them each separately. Each child will have a name in line with the seed they are in charge of perfecting and handing down, plus they will be in charge of searching out and finding all new seeds with any additional packs that are added in their life time. Here's to a fresh start and a Legacy of Harvesters.125Views4likes24CommentsAlphabet SuperLegacy Challenge Rules
This is a legacy challenge where each generation represents a different letter, and must explore all of the game play starting with that letter: aspirations, collections, woohoo spots, reward store traits, you name it. I already have athread for this challenge that has been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it was transferred from the old forum, it's very hard to update further. It's past time I added game play from Lovestruck to this challenge, so I'm starting a new thread. Here are the general rules: Ignore any objective related to a pack you don’t own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. I've removed three of the letters (Q,U,Y) from the challenge because they don't have much to do, even with all the packs. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. No rules about aging. No rules governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesn’t mean that other generations can’t do it for fun/convenience. If you don’t have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. No self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Each heir's name, and that of any pets they have, must begin with their letter. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits will reflect their color preferences. If you decorate a space for them, you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen (if you have those packs). From that point forward, all their outfits and decorated spaces will reflect their style preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned. If the heir has four or more lot traits, they have to change upwhich three are in play. The heir's transitional aspirations (the ones that decide the bonus traits) have to be aspirations from their generation, unless they don't have two aspirations. At the start of the challenge, the Gen 1 "founder" will be very young, so you will need to give them at least one parent. I started the world legacy in 2019 because I had hard times to play legacy challenges without abandoning them after 3 or 4 generations. So I decided to bend the rules and mix them with rags to riches: What if each generation has to start over, from scratch in another world and use skills and systems implemented in the pack, in which the world comes from, to succeed in their lives? I'm now at my 12th Generation and it's still going. I have no real rules but I set goals for each generation so I could balance storyline and goal-oriented challenge. Current Family Tree: Generation 1 to 13 goals and backstories: Legacy Heirs: Update: Gen 16 goals and background are added. I'm at the end of gen 16, gen 17 is still an infant I'll update when it's the moment😊444Views5likes13CommentsBaker Super Sim Family Challenge
I've been addicted to restarting my game over and over and I've been looking for a challenge I can stick with long term, and stop my restart cycle. simgirl1010 Super Sim Family has inspired me to try and stick with one family long term. So, I've taken my very first Sim from the Sims 4 years, and recreated her for a more modern look and feel, and I'm starting her Legacy style. I don't know exactly what rules I'll be following, but my main rule for myself is to just stick with it! We'll see lol. Can this chronic restarter addict be cured? Introducing Annie Baker: (I'll leave pictures in the reply since the attachments don't show up for me.) Annie was raised in a strict home where her creativity was stifled and never really appreciated. She knew she was loved and cared for, but she also knew she had to move far away to become her own person. So Annie sold everything she had, except her aisle and favorite paint brushes, packed some clothes and her trusty water bottle, and bought an enormous plot of land in the countryside. The view would be inspirational, she knew, and she hoped she'd have plenty of room to discover new hobbies, skills, and talents she had always been afraid to dream of.170Views7likes44CommentsA Love Like Ours Legacy
Hi! I'm writing a legacy based on Cute Coffee Gal's Decades Challenge and faerie-tempest's Black History ChallengeAlso check out her playthrough of her challenge on YouTube The Sims 4: Black History Challenge My legacy is called A Love Like Ours and follows the Jonquil family starting in an 1880s prologue. Henry Jonquil and Emma Kelsey are the founders. They are the two teens in the picture at the top. My blog has aChapters List, but I'll keep links to the chapters on this thread, too. Fun fact: A jonquil is a fragrant, bright yellow flower that is in the same genus (Narcissus) as the daffodil. Narcissus is the birth flower of the month of March so starting this thread this month is perfect :) I hope you enjoyA Love Like Ours and thank you for reading! Chapter Indexes: 1880s: Prologue, part 1; Prologue, part 2 1890s 1900s55Views0likes4CommentsSIMS IN BLOOM CHALLENGE - CH 1 - GEN 1
Meet DAISY BLOOM, our Generation 1 Founder. Challenge rules state that the founder has to have the Cheerful, Clumsy, and Loves outdoors traits, and that she has to max the wellness, fishing and gardening skills, complete the Freelance Botanist Aspiration, and have a job as a gardener. Likes the colors white and yellow. She can marry, but that sim must have the loves outdoors trait. My own additional rules are that Daisy must have a fully functional house with a basic bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area before she can move her potential spouse in. I also downloaded one of the Maxis pre-made spa builds in Newcrest. ~ ~ ~ Playing Rags to Riches in Spring (30 days). Moved Daisy onto a vacant lot - 2 Olde Mill Road in Henford-on-Bagley. She sold all the trees and rocks on her lot and got $648 simoleons. I then downloaded a 0 simoleon Abandoned Cottage (it's a debug house), and added the debug toilet/shower stall from the Jungle Adventure pack. I also placed a debug contemplative stool (rental) for meditation. (This actually works to increase wellness skill). Lot traits are Simple Living, Penny Pixies, Homey, Wild foxes and Off-the grid. With the funds she had from selling the rocks and trees on her lot, she bought a dumpster (her bed for now - lol), and an Always Has a Snack Bag. She also purchased 2 inground garden patches ($10 each). After this, she had $4 simoleons left. She then got a job in the gardener career. It was now time to make some simoleons to purchase some garden seeds. She found a frog, some upgrade parts, a MySims trophy, and did some fishing at the pond. The welcome wagon came and never placed the food on the ground. So whatever it was, they took it back with them. She then headed to Finchwick and did some fishing...during a thunderstorm...and egads, she was struck by lightning. Deciding that she had enough fishing, she headed to the Gnome's Arms Pub to see if there were any eligible bachelors who also loved the outdoors. She feasted on free chips and water and made several friends, but no-one with this trait. She napped on the couch in the Gnomes Arms Pub and so ended Day 1. ~ ~ ~ Notes: Sims in Bloom Challenge Rules - go HERE. Abandoned Cottage by Quakeers. I had done a preliminary run-through for this challenge and found it difficult to find sims with the loves outdoors trait. So, bearing that in mind, I randomly downloaded some sims from the gallery, and also used some of the pre-made Maxis sims for potential love interests. I moved them into an empty lot in Newcrest, so Daisy will randomly meet them. Here they are. From left to right - Barry Varner (by nengster65), Terence Thayer (by nengster65), Brenton Ferguson (by Gods Treasure), Edmund Leighton (by Rickchikchik), Tristen Palmer (Maxis pre-made), Rémy St. Feu (Maxis pre-made), Kurt Lumberjackson (Maxis pre-made), and Pierce Coombs (Maxis pre-made),182Views2likes21CommentsRandom legacy - McIntosh family part 1
I got inspired by videos of other simmers and decided to give random legacy challenge a shot. Oh boy, is it hard! Random really didn't like me this time: permanent barista career (or at least I think that it has to be permanent and no other income allowed? Or maybe I'm just a fool...), no helpers, idle careers (can't help w school or career/job), single with 3 kids. Okay, I don't have 3 kids yet, only 1 because I'll lose it honestly if I have all 3 kids at once 😭😭 Btw, I used a special website designed for this challenge apparently to random things but there are also lists with careers etc on some kinda sims forums. And you know what? There was no barista career in the list I've found... But I guess playing as barista and having no other income other than that is kinda fun. Fun because it's hard and I think I've never been challenged in Sims like that ('cause I never bothered to) The unlucky one is Janet McIntosh (name and surname were randomized as well as her appearance and style). She reminds me of Cassandra Goth, probably because of ponytails lol Janet lives in Oasis Springs and collects stuff every day, as per the random rule I got (but she can't sell her collection as far as I understand. Maybe I'm wrong tho?). She hates her job since she doesn't like any kinds of commitments and she's afraid that she will be stuck with it forever. Janet's not wrong on that one... Poor girl. She's also mean and mischievous, but that's fun. She's almost sworn enemies with Geoffrey Landgraab (I did that on purpose) and I personally cackle because of that. As for her third trait, Janet's romantic. Also welcome father of the family — Quentin what's his surname. Well, he's biological father of our dear heir Robin alright, but he can't live with them or be married to Janet, as per the rules (she has to be a single mom). Shame, because of Janet's encouragement Quentin changed careers and after being a nanny became an entertainer and could have brought us actual money :( Fun fact is that Robin must become an entertainer one day too, because random wished so (which is very interesting coincidence. Kinda like a plot element). And there's our little heir Robin. His present random aspiration is to be creative and he's an art lover (random was very consistent with that). He also was a top notch infant and a happy child, hooray! Despite the fact that their living conditions have always been less than satisfactory (they don't have an actual house, just the needed utilities and beds...). Let's see if I can survive for longer! lol Btw, I've already randomized what second gen rules are gonna be, which include: 2 kids; comedian career (secondary careers: astronaut, culinary); two live-in partners, at least 1 kid with the first one; sims have to get in fights at least once a week; teens in the family have to work AND max their part time jobs before 3rd gen starts, even if they will become young adults That's definitely easier and pretty entertaining, if you ask me! You know, Robin's mother is a meanie and all he ever saw was her getting into fights and badmouthing people. So... I guess it's logical he and his future siblings will get into fights as well. It's just fitting. And like I said, Robin's father works in entertainment too. Maybe we can imagine that our little boy decided to follow in father's footsteps? Even if he was an absent one. Fun fact: Quentin and Robin actually met each other because Quentin came on our lot to celebrate HIS birthday on the same day Robin became a child. Can't say why he chose our lot, I was honestly surprised when that happened after he invited Janet via phone 🤔Let's imagine he actually cares about his son (we all know tho that the reason he's not a top notch dad is purely technical...)41Views1like1CommentThe Disney Princess 10 Gen Challenge!
WELCOME TO: THE DISNEY PRINCESS 10 GEN CHALLENGE! SIMS 3: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/760184/the-disney-princess-challenge-10-generation-legacy MY CHALLENGE: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/809222/my-disney-legacy-challenge-11-jan?new=1 INFO: This challenge is based on the Disney Princess franchise and movies. Storytellers can follow the original stories or you can just roll with it. Some areas of this challenge ask for gender-specific heir/heiresses, this can be easily changed out if you're playing patriarchy or matriarchy. This challenge follows the original rules of the 10 Generation Legacy - although some rules may vary. If you own a particular expansion pack, then feel free to incorporate this however you would like, ideas will be provided as well with . Generation 1: Snow White "I'm wishing for the one I love to find me today" Founders have humble beginnings, so what's better than Snow White? To start, create Snow White. Storytellers may create her as a teenager and make her evil stepmother, but this is not a requirement. When Snow White becomes a young adult, this story begins. - Must be female - Must have 7 children (dwarfs) - Each child must have one negative trait (e.g Gloomy, Glutton) - Each child must have the same baby daddy - Each child must achieve something before their teenage years - this can be reaching level 5 in a toddler skill, reaching level 3 in all toddler skills, completing their childhood aspiration, or becoming an A grade student in school - Snow may never answer the door to strangers or talk to elderly women : Parenthood - each child must age up with at least one positive character trait. This number can be increased if you're looking for more of a challenge. Hello fellow simmer, Originally I have started this challenge three months ago in July and I write about it in the 'What happened in your game today'-thread. But @MelsieYT asked me if the story is written down somewhere coherently, so I'm going to copy the story parts in here. My challenge is placed in Germany and I'm playing the legacy of the Kaufmann family with adapting the original rules, because I'm a german, so this history is more familiar to me than the american history. During the game I switch to the nice streamer StephKaycee deathroll-method (roll D20 after statistics), which made this challenge a bit more fair, but create less drama. If you don't know her yet, she plays on twitch her own decade challenge. At first I thought I wouldn't stay long enough on this challenge and I had my struggle in the world war 1, but I can't believe that' already 3 months gone. Then let me start: 1890 The american rules forbid to start in San Myshuno, but for me it's essential for the story. It's 1890. A young and poor couple has move from the countryside to the big growing city. Ludwig and Viktoria Kaufmann, her marriage was arrange by their former squire, who let them go because of a bankruptcy. They hope to find a better paid job there. They found a cheap room in one of the tenement barracks. Ludwig started his 3 years military service and Viktoria became pregnant soon. Living in a cramped building, they have to deal with loud neighbors and dirty environment all the time. In late 1890 their first son named Wilhelm (after the emperor) was born. Ludwig is very ambitious and and impressed his superiors, so he ranked up, while he is proud of his family growing extended. While he is family orientated, he is also unflirty in due of the prudish era, but he did his marital duties and Viktoria became pregnant again. It's now 1891. He began to be interested in the social democratic party and workers right, since the anti-socialist laws were lifted.2.7KViews1like124Comments
