@nattygirl13 there is mod that does that by IlexSims. the has a lot of decor with purpose. while I would have liked that officially in game, I downloaded it and I took it out because you can just click on your sims for that way lost in my catalog but cute idea. He has a lot of decor with purpose like body wash, perfume, while cute to play with something new, I simply can't find in my game catalog. The team should have made that gameplay but clicking on the sim anywhere in the case of the coat rack makes it a gameplay a little harder.
I realize that clicking on the sim allows from the same interaction. However, since the sims is a simulation game, I'd like to have the option to simulate real experiences, like shopping in a department store and using the dressing room to plan outfits. It's also not realistic for retail stores to have dressers in place of dressing rooms.
And while modders may offer suitable content, not everyone supports mods or has access these options (for instance console players). That's why it'd be nice to see these ideas patched into actual gameplay.
Similar to how the snowy escape pack added bath house lockers (which have the same functionality as dressers) and the for rent patch added an update for shoe racks and sinks, these additional features may not be strictly necessary, but many players value the attention to detail. Sometimes I get tired of clicking on the sim and searching through various menus for interactions. I like having an interactive object to perform certain interactions. For instance, there are interactive shells in henford and chestnut ridge that allow for "window shopping," a function I value because I appreciate being able to have that extra realism in the game.
