BASE Legacy - Rags to Riches + Career Completion
Hi all!
I started a new legacy and blog! It's basically a rags to riches but completing both branches on each career every generation - starting with base game careers only for the Base legacy, alphabetically. There are 12 career fields available in base game, but we're going keep freelancer, entertainer and style influencer later down the line and not do them in order until we have the expansion packs for them. Maybe city living for freelancer and get famous for entertainer and style influencer. (See non-legacy rule below). Freelancer also has like multiple branches to them... so I may just keep this one out indefinitely.
I'm going to also try to take out the part time careers when my heirs are teens.

RULES
Some rules I abide by... I'll update this as I play.
- Make sim, pick one trait of choice, role dice until you get your trait of choice (the other two must be random)
- Move into any lot, remove all money and start from nothing
- Join career of choice, move up the ranks
- Must complete at least one aspiration in their lifetime
- Spouse move-in allowed after achieving rank 5 in career
- Spouse will join the same career as your active sim (founder/heir) and complete the other branch in the field
- Heir will be child #1. More children allowed after but not necessary for legacy progression. If multiples, heir will still be child #1, aka the first child you named when born
- Heir's first trait will be trait of choice. Then the rest will be random
- Heir will receive $/(number of kids + 1) of parents' funds as a move-out gift and will move out after becoming a young adult and onto a new lot. Heir may move in to a non empty lot if they can afford it. May use money cheat to buy an empty lot if cannot afford one. Must delete all money and start from nothing if this is the case
NON LEGACY RULE
I'm starting Gen 1 with base game and no expansions + packs + kits, minus the free holiday stuff. With every new generation, I'll add 1 of each expansion/game pack + stuff pack + kit, chronologically. Just so it keeps me excited.
