Trey and Kenya are neighbours with the Lewis', Luciana, Marcell and Erica. They used to live with their single mom, but she sadly passed away and now they have been on their own for years now.

Luciana is the older sister. She has been taking care of parenting Erica after her mom passed and it has been difficult. She has always been hot-headed and never had much patience to begin with, but right now it has become very bad. She works a part time job and takes care of the flat and makes sure that Erica isn't up to something too reckless.

Marcell is the complete opposite to Luciana. He has always been sensitive, patient and kind. He also works a part time job and writes poetry in his free time. He dreams of having it published some day. Erica usually goes to him when she's overwhelmed with life and with Luciana's temper. Marcell loves Erica so much, almost to a fault, and he enables Erica's sometimes bad behaviour. Luciana doesn't like this, because it questions her authority and ruins her attempts at parenting, but she doesn't have the heart to confront sweet Marcell about it. Instead, she lets out that frustration on Erica.
What else is there to say about Erica... She is quite the rebel, as you might have already imagined. She is an impulsive teen, somewhere in the middle between Marcell and Luciana, in terms of character. She is an average student, although she has the brains to do much better, she's just not interested, much to Luciana's dismay. Her best friend is her neighbour, Raquel Gomez, they met in a yoga and meditation club and they bonded because they both are very spiritual.

Raquel is way more calm than Erica and she does a better job than Luciana at keeping Erica with her feet on the ground, but that doesn't mean that Luciana likes her... Raquel also has a troubled home life, but with her it's because her parents are very conservative and don't approve of her interests in spirituality and her company.
