BG updates for more drama and/or realism

Police and burglar: classic gameplay from TS1 to TS3.

Lawn mowing and grass/brushes growing: gardens will have the weed issues and brushes without trim.

Swimming pool filters: Sims will refuse to swim in a dirty water pool.

Water heating and pressure: Sims using multiple plumbing items at the same time will have negative moods if the water is not enough hot.

Home phones: before the smartphones era, Sims used their home phones to call someone.

Grades reaction: teen and child sims will react to their grades depending of the score.

  • I like Grades reaction, police and burglars and lawn mowing because it's real and it would make the game a lil more interesting and fun.
  • Personally I don't think bringing more and more "realsim" will make the game better. Definitely need more drama, more surprise, more negative and intense traits, more risky and intense things and if anything more fantasy. But realism per se will not improve the game in my opinion.
  • Burglar sure, since it would force sims to maybe replace big ticket items making it mor of a challenge to increase wealth. That’s why I love the simple living lot challenge. It forces my sim to spend money nearly everyday making rapid wealth accumulation harder. As for the rest no thanks. If anything I’d like to see mor drama by way of cheating significant others actually crashing their relationships and it being difficult to re-establish. Bad grades causing a relationship drop with parents. Chance cards having more than a small or medium performance impact. For example in the business career if your investment goes bad it could potentially wipe you out financially. Same if you’re caught hacking in the tech career. Bad chance cards getting you fired, or tanking your relationship, and also having the chance to do the opposite like make you wildly wealthy or significantly boost a relationship. I would also love it if sims could like/love each other unevenly. Feelings aren’t always mutual.
  • Make things happen more random to your sim (romance, arguments... make it happen, have other sims do stuff to my sim - slap them, kiss them, propose...whatever). Make people act according to their ages (more prone to follow whims and moods when they are younger, more stable as they grow older).
  • Playing mostly female sims I'd like to see them wear handbags.I know we have an inventory but for realism just as an example I'd like to see them pull out and maybe use lipstick from their bag or use the round thing to powder their face or look into the small mirror.Maybe an animation where they look into the bag then use an item from the inventory. Is there a mod that has female handbags buyable that they wear either in hand for small purse like handbags or big ones around the shoulder?Sorry for my average english,I'm french.

I think "realism" is not only relative but also boring. Now drama is definitely needed.
