- Detectives Being able to Solve their Own Burglaries and Make Arrests
- Attorneys Being Able to Sue the Perp After Arrest
- Consequences and Reparations for Being Robbed
So, you want them like an active career? What about the kleptos and the sharing NAP? Might be a good occasion to fine tune them and integrate them with the burglary career but make them les annoying or at least giving us the possibility to fight back or secure the lots. I had sims literally strip a bar while my sim was there having a drink, they took the chairs and everything. - The Prowling Walk
- HavenRose2020New SpectatorAs long as they don’t steal framed photos or paintings from reference (too hard to replace), I’d be down for this. For a while it seemed like lot challenges were the new toggles, so it’s a shame they’re not super utilized.
- OkayLazySimNew SpectatorI was thinking about this the other day and I think burglars would make a great Freelance Career or an active career like Dream Home Decorator.
Like, your sim could pick tasks (rabbit hole and active) to steal objects from other residential and community lots. Perhaps there could also be stealable items within the open worlds, too.
And omg, I think I am having an epiphany. An online store, where all kinds of simmers (freelancers, self-employed, crafters etc.) could sell their items, including robbers. You could actually have a rating system for sellers depending on skills. Robbers could get caught depending on certain skills (e.g. photography, mischief, logic and programming). And a sim could also look for their stolen goods and call the police on the seller to get the item back.
And if you have City Living or Eco Living you could sell them at the Flea Market or at the community market space.
I'd love this so much and it could offer so many great pack integration features. - Redrogue60Seasoned Hotshot

I also think it would be a grand idea to fine tune the Kleptomania trait along with creating a fun, active Burglar career. Kleptomaniacs only tend to steal small objects anyway so having them steal bunches of large things, in public, so brazenly doesn't make sense. They also are folks with a mental issue and not bad people per se irl so changing the perimeters for what they nab in contrast to what a willful thief might steal would probably be a good thing. It still can be amusing which is what it is meant to be, but far less ahem expensive and annoying.
Plus I like the idea of making a professional thief and having them plan heists and circumventing securities. - The Prowling Walk

I would want them back however add options to switch them off
Burglars are a classic part of the Sims game, and I miss being able to buy a security system in my lots. It was always in whatever category the fire alarms are in, which since in TS4 they are in their own tiny category, it feels like its missing something without them. However, I am always a fan of options, and if we can have the ability to turn it off, I'd love that too. I also like the idea of it being a Lot challenge too. Sort of like the foxes in Cottage Living. Whatever gives players more options is good. It would be expected that they'd update things so that they don't break into vault doors that were in the celebrity pack, whatever it's name was. Give vaults an actual function. - Burglars with more funny interactions with them during their robbery ! For exemple, frighten them, water them, lay traps (like pranks in sims 3), allow the dog or cat of the household to attack them to defend its territory (according to their character traits), etc.
- I think they added a good flair to the game, although I never think of their lack much. Could be a good addition for an update! My Sims are usually so rich as to make it not matter much, anyway. Just some fun drama.
- FriendlySimmersNew Travelerno to buglars unless they include toggles to turn them off in game
- nikkiheathcote95New SpectatorHere's burglars from the sims 3 for those of you, that has only played the sims 4

How to recover the stolen objects ? Use the insurance like fire damage ?
