Build/buy for aviaries, aquariums, conservatories

I've spent the last few days building a conservatory/restaurant. There are a few things I wish we were able to do to make better community lots. I would like to be able to build aviaries where we can place birds that will fly around and hang out in the trees of a designated room. I'd also like the ability to do this with butterflies because a lot of conservatories have butterflies seasonally. I would also like large birdcages like we had in previous games. I used to have pet birds and would like to have them back.

I would also like more options for building aquariums. You can cheat an aquarium by shrinking some of the fish tanks, but I would like to be able to do it without having to hide the shrunken aquariums. I'd like to be able to build my own version of the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. I want to be able to have jellyfish, sharks, etc. and a touching pool for kids. I want to be able to create a reptile room with snakes, turtles, etc.

Finally, please give us more plants! I want more wall climbing plants, hanging plants, flowers, etc. for more variety. I can only use the items from Jungle Adventure so many times before it becomes repetitive. And after the new patch, my game no longer allows me to access live edit objects. Honestly, there is NO REASON any of the build objects should be hidden from us to begin with...

I would also enjoy the option to build butterfly houses. Having more options for museums would be great because right now they feel a little boring. Aquariums and aviaries would also be really interesting. Things like this that can be visited and viewed together would be a nice addition to gameplay. I think adding more things that multiple sims can do together will add that warmth and depth that players are looking for. It seems like a realistic request.
  • @MichelleW exactly. I agree about museums. I wish we had some really cool items to decorate full displays.
  • @Dannydanbo I would be happy with birdcages. My memory isn't great, but I think it was Sims 1 that had the really fancy, large birdcage that I used to have in almost every Sim's house I made. Sims 4 is probably the most disappointing of all the versions when it comes to pets.

@temporalgod you could use it to make a zoo or pet shop. I wish they would give us more things that we could use in creative ways.
  • We have the little bird feeder that came with one of the stuff packs, after you fill it there are little birds flyign around it, but there's not much interactions with the birds. And they are so small you can barely see them. I really miss the big colourful parrots from TS2.

There's a CC creator that does animals and wildlife effects you could check them out if you enjoy CC in your game.
