- GrumpyGlowfishSeasoned NewcomerI've been asking for a Disney Princesses SP for quite a while, but if it's instead a GP that also comes with Disney magic and other things from Disney movies, I certainly wouldn't mind.
- I would love a Disney expansion, but I would prefer to play the Princesses and stuff I wouldn't be as interested if it only contains villains and witches. I'd be okay if it contained villain and witches as well as the princesses and stuff I suppose in fact probably the only way I would want witches in my game. That being said I don't think it's going to happen because they would have to get Disney to agree
- while it seems interesting it also seems like something really expensive for EA
- BlueSeaWavesSeasoned AceThey’d have to get permission from Disney, doubt they would do it. I’m not a fan of magic but if they were to bring it back, I hope it isn’t with anything Disney related
- I’d love magic and witches in TS4. But not anything Disney-related.
- I'm going to preface my comment by saying a few things outright: I used to be a designer for a segment of the company, of which I will not go into specifics. I am not, in any way, affiliated with Disney. However, from my time there, I did learn a lot about creating product for consumers and the specifics that go into getting things approved legally and design wise.
There are so many approval processes that go into Disney product (of any kind, licensed or authentic/exclusive) and it gets very expensive. There are countless and very strict guidelines to follow ESPECIALLY when Disney is involved with a project. There is also their brand/product integrity to think about - there are ways they will not want their name represented in games, toys, media, clothing, accessories, etc. Characters are supposed to stay within their stories - i.e. you should not see Rapunzel driving a car because cars do not exist in her world or story. (I emphasize "supposed to" because that rule does get broken quite a lot, but not because they liked the idea or made an exception. Usually it's a rogue decision that was missed or they were not consulted. Same with why so many licensed product seems questionable as well.)
Now with Ralph Breaks the Internet there are some muddy waters, as the princesses (official and non-official, which is already a huge marketing no-no for Disney merchandise standards), appeared together, and in casual clothing at that. I think since they created a digital world focusing on the internet and how their characters may appear on that, they allowed their IP to be seen in a way that hadn't ever been done before. But adding their characters into a game that they have no affiliation with, one they do not control, is probably never going to happen. I mean, that's not to say that it DEFINITELY won't happen... but I don't believe they would partner.
HOWEVER, I could see a collaboration with, say, Oh My Disney. It could be a pack that introduces clothing and accessories that are Disney inspired. Graphic tees, costumes for children (MAYBE adults), bracelets/necklaces, *possibly* ear hats and headbands... etc.
With ALL of that said, it would be a terribly expensive and (believe me) time consuming project for The Sims team. That time and money should go to something a little more valuable to our game. I know I PERSONALLY would rather see The Sims have their own heroes/villains/etc. if they chose to go that route. I haven't looked, but I'm sure there are brilliant mods and CC that anyone could use if they wanted Disney in their game. Might be useful to stick to that instead! :) - Don't we have Disney in our game already?

Considering the licensing cost, yes. And not sure what Disney would think about the random Woohoo going on with their characters. A pack like this could well turn into the Katy Perry Sweet Treats of the Sims 4. :o- SimmervilleSeasoned AceMagic is not my thing in TS4, but I'll be fine passing one pack, and I think the visuals of ts4 would go quite well with magic stuff.
- I could see a medieval theme, witches, magic, maybe folklore, etc but nothing based directly on Disney, too much money for licensing when they can
1. Make cameos/references for free (Elsa bjerson with her side plait as a reference to Elsa of Frozen)
2. They can sell those features without having to pay licensing anyway
