- I made 3 houses for the moment. One was based on a plan and the two other from my imagination.
- I don't have floor plans but I have ideas always running around in my head all the time. Sometimes I draw them out just to get an idea. I am planning out working on some houses for everyone to download and I cannot wait to share them. Ultra high modern with a touch of classic on the outside of the house. Gonna be epic!

I've been making shotgun shacks and just started making town homes. These house styles are prevalent in New Orleans (I'm kind of obsessed with New Orleans) and I'm pretty sure that Willow Creek is inspired by New Orleans, it has shotgun shacks and town homes. If you want to learn more about house styles then read about those two styles, look at pictures and floor plans. They are very fun and easy to make, the decorative tools/doors/windows are perfect for them, and they'll fit in with the pre-existing houses. Your houses will look exactly like the ones in New Orleans. :) - eliselove1New RookieI have a folder full of house plans :D
- I'm terrible at building houses... (thank god you can build by rooms in TS4! ) I've had so many attempts but I'm never happy with it. The idea is there, I just am really bad at the actual building aspect! Some great sites have been shared here so I think it's time I give some of these floor plans a go - time to move on from just placing already built rooms together :#

Definitely give the floor plans a go! They make the build process go very smoothly. You wont be disappointed! :) I printed a bunch out the other day and have built four houses so far, they look very nice and realistic.. totally different from the other houses I've built.- I like to build houses and apartments I've lived in, my brother's lived in, friends' houses, etc. I've used google maps' street view to go look at places I lived when I was a child, and also used google to "drive" around places around the world and look at the homes. It's fun.
- You can actually buy a house plans magazine in a bookstore that show blueprints for house interiors, as well as pictures of the exterior. I bought one to use with Sims 3 and still have it. You can find them on the internet, too, but then of course you'd have to print them out.

I love using real blue prints to make houses! <3
There are some great sites that have all the free floor plans you could ever want: theplancollection.com
This is such a great idea...don't know why I never thought of doing this!! Thanks for the link!- I bought a lot of books with floor plans in them from lowes when sims 3 came out, but I never really used them.. :'( lol
