Education pack

With seasons coming up I am so excited to see what comes after!
What are you hoping for?

I’ve seen a lot of simmers talking about wanting an education pack with teachers and college and what not. I would love to see different types of schools and even home schooling or tutoring being an option.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on what you’d like in a pack like this?

What different aging that people use?
ageing on, ageing off, ageing on for current household, but off for others. How would it work with ageing off? When would there be the transition between year levels.

I'm just saying the teen is still a teen it's just under the word teen and their name it will say Highschool Freshmen, Sophomore, etc.
Please, no. That was to confusing enough with the uni packs. I don't want that system used for school packs too. Your system doesn't even match up with what we consider to be the normal year levels here. It would make it all far too confusing. A 'teen' going to 'high school' is nice and simple.

Teens can but I'm saying kids since kids needs skill points and kids don't do much homework as a teen does and kids go on field trips more often them teens, teens seem like they stuck at school they rarely go to field trip unless it's to a university. kids mainly went to museums, police station, fire station just to learn about stuff.
Really? I don't remember having any field trips in primary school, they were all in secondary. I had 4 days of geology field trips in year 12, 4 days of work obv in year 10, I skipped the year 9 aquaculture trip, I think that was a 3 day one, combined with a camp, there was an English field trip in year 10, we also went to the zoo and the art gallery, and museum in year 10. Year 10 was a busy year for field trips.
The only one I remember from primary school was visiting a jade mine in year 7.
I don not envy any teachers who have to wrangle primary school kids.

I play with age off in my game it will be the same as age on or off if you still want them in Freshmen year have a toggle that says Freshmen sophomore and etc. And if not we'll they are normal they can have normal level but it should depend on a passing grade to graduate high school especially senior year.

If you find that it doesn't match up well...ok but it will a lot less confusing for the Simmers who are upset about the teens height in the game and it seems the team are not going to change it or they would have done so by now. (That's just my personal opinion.) At the very least Simmers would know this is a teen in highschool whose just starting highschool as a freshman or graduating as a senior.

Now when it comes to YA and college didn't college both in Sims 2 and Sims 3 have a separate world from the main worlds? So how would that confuse the Simmers more? Especially with the years when onr sim is in college saying college student under their name and the other sim in highschool? Also I would like to add the college sim will probably have a major like a trait Also I would like the Sims 3 college since you can either choose to go for 2 years or 4. (Sims 3 uni was the best in my opinion it literally felt like a college.)

I keep forgetting your from Australia well kudos to you for having field trip in Secondary school. I remember going to the zoo in 1-5 grade or ages 6-10 and the aquarium and again museums also learning about the fire departments and police. Now in highschool I remember going to field trips probably 4 times since it interfered with all the other classes and subjects since unlike elementary we had only one class and one teacher.

Now may I ask in Secondary school did you have more then one teachers and also more then one room or did you have to stay in one classroom and different teachers would come to that classroom? I'm asking since I hear totally different answers when it comes to secondary school.

    All of the above. :p
It varied, depending on the subject, and the availability of the room. Some subjects require a specific room, others can be done anywhere.
The year 12 class rarely left their room, while the year 8 class traipsed about all over the school. Cooking can only be done in the home ec room, wood work can only be done in the tech studies room, Maths and English can be taught anywhere. Some of the rooms were shared with the primary half of the school, like the art room, the computer lab, the library.

The nearest zoo was about a 6 hour drive away, more like 6 1/2-7, if you allow for toilet and food stops. Not something you want to do with a bunch of 5 year olds.

Given the distances we had to travel for most field trips, they were often done in a single week. One day spent travelling, 3-4 days spend doing field trip stuff, then another day spent travelling home.
    Our states are freaking HUGE!
One state here covers about 1/3 of the country. I live in one of the states that takes up about 1/6 of the country.
I currently live about 13 hours drive(without breaks) from the nearest capital of another state.
And these distances also impact how some subjects are taught. I had to take some classes via OAC distance education, kinda like school of the air.
