Education/University and Automobile Pack

Was just thinking how a Uni/Education pack could go along automobile features so well. Remember when sims could teach teens how to drive in Sims 3? A pack on Education, featuring University, could introduce cars in the game, being one more liberating experience that comes along at that age. What do you think?

I would be up for this. I'm not all that fussed on University honestly, but I would love to have open degree/course options for my working/parent sims to improve their qualifications/careers, and practical careers for my handy sims like mechanic. I also hope we get bikes (and exercise bikes) as well as cars at some point.

When we get a Uni pack, I don't want unwanted stuff taking up space. We don't even have cars anymore so what will they learn in?

In the cars that would supposedly come with this supposed pack... I honestly hope that the devs totally revamp the "Uni" pack, that I believe will be next. I hope they forget about the world, but have the campus as a big lot. I hope Education pack, this time, is more about education itself and how the reason people go to Uni actually takes the more space in the pack. That is learn and have an impact in your work Carrer. Playing games, drinking and so on should be featured cause it's also a thing, but doesn't need to be the more important thing, as it actually isn't in reality. I also don't need to go with my sims all the time, sending him class by class. I wish that some real deph was given to this pack. Otherwise is just better to have a party pack. And that means learning new skills and degrees that have true impact on the Carrers. Also marks during primary and secondary school need to have meaning. How come a kid that doesn't study not even one time has the same Carrer opportunities as one that was an A student? Will we have an Education pack that will keep this on?
I mean, I think that an Education pack should be about learning, and should be about new starts in life, and new abilities, and not so much on new ping pong like games.

I have no doubt that, at some point, we will be gifted with a Uni pack but it won't be an Education pack that includes a total revamp of the current school system. They might add a TEACHER job that is a rabbit hole profession where your sim goes to work and comes home with papers to grade. Other than that, I don't see anything for grade or high school.

With the connected worlds we have now, I hope they include an option to learn from home for adults on-line and a night school option along with living at home and not on campus.

Night school option and taking a degree from home would be nice additions. But I won't buy the pack if it comes with a new Carrer and a lot of gameplay in campus, fraternities, party stuff and so on. GT brought a lot of party elements to the game. Now I was really hoping for some deeper stuff.

University and Cars? That's just way too overwhelming for my loner sims (all of them lol) to handle!

Not that much if they forget about the campus, fraternities, ping pong games and all that stuff. If it focus on learning, consequences in Carrer life, then it's nothing so big to bring a new skill together with cars that will only travel in a small neighborhood.
  • @Dannydanbo Im very much used to the sim's sense of humor. And it is a game, of course it needs to be fun. But then this is what makes the sims different from all other games and why Im still playing it after 20 years: its a life simulation. It's natural that we expect it to be deeper over time. That's what's have been happening since sims 1. So, I'm still hopefull that the iteration that was marketed as the deepest life simulation (sims 4) will actually work on making life deeper dlc after dlc. That isn't what we're getting, but that was where the company laid all their marketing. So, let's hope.
Life needs to have fun, and have a lot of parties, but that's not all for the sims. It has always been more complex than that.
