England/british style sims

You guys have me googling all these things common to you, but are completely foreign to me! Chip Shops, a Greggs, and some other things I never heard of, lol. Thanks for the education! :D

That's exactly why I would love an expansion like this!
I know everyone else in the world think Americans are ignorant, but part of the reason for that is we are really not taught about other countries at all. From school I remember being taught about wars and things, but really nothing about other cultures. And we are not encouraged to learn at all, either. "America is the greatest country in the world, " that's all we hear growing up. Growing up there was not really anything on TV available from other countries. I was a kid before internet (gasp!), so there may be a few paragraphs in the family encyclopedia collection about another country. Now I love anything I can find about other places. ^_^ (That turned out to be longer-winded than I had intended!)

I would love that. Maybe other countries too with different cultures

:') Greggs sounds good right about now.

Just about all the phone boxes are gone. We still have red post boxes on street corners.

Objects for the game would have to include macs, wellies, and umbrellas.

I would love to hear Simlish spoken with a Geordie accent that would be amazing :)

Of course the food would have to include deep fried chocolate bars and black pudding :)

Americans have Disney-fied idea of old Blighty, thatched cottages and afternoon tea. The Royles are the real little Britain. The Royle Family is a perfect combination of comedy, drama, satire and social commentary. When my sisters and nephew come to visit we'll pop in a disk and watch a few episodes. Although, I might also have to make Alan Partridge and the Linton Travel Tavern.

Not true, Glasgow and Edinburgh both have black cabs and double deckers too, as well as the nice red phone boxes. Actually I've seen those phone boxes in the strangest places, my favourite being a tiny village in the highlands that didn't even have a shop - but they did have a phone box lol

I agree, lots of places have the black cabs and double decker buses, Oxford for example! Where I grew up (the smallest village) we had a church, a sheep wash and a red telephone box, haha!

I blame my love of British accents, etc to the game series known as Worms.

It would be lovely to have a decent representation of British Life. As someone said we don't all live in villages with thatched cottages :) Some of us don't even like tea !

There is so much to choose from the four countries in the Union. I start with Cardiff Millenium Stadium, Egbaston Cricket ground, Edinburgh Castle, Hadrian' s Wall, the Bliue Water Shoppinhg Centre, Canterbury Cathedral, the Needles, the Blackpool Tower ...........
