Hi so I've come back to the game after about a year -ish of only playing off and on.One thing I've noticed is that the only multi events now Have only 1 main quest and not really any side quests or side currencies (e.g. now the treehouse of horror event has 4 quests but are all very linear) I remember my favourite event, a while back now was the Spy event and the airport event, there was loads going on. There were the 3 main quests like nowYou had to tap on invading spies, which worked like Krustyland visitors do nowThere was a new shop currency added, I think it was Schematics that was literally its' own shop It came with a thing you did every 4 hours, that was new mini game where you tapped spies (I can still ues it today but it just gives me trash and technology)And there was an overall quest thing that gave you people gradually, where you had to do special tasks special to IT and not the main 3 that ended by giving you a characterI remember alot of ones were this complex and had alot like it:So my question is, are those events cancelled forever because the devs don't have time to do them, or will they ever come back?

Yes i think we are stuck with these bog standard boring events. It may be due to lack of funds as most players are donut farming now and theres not as many developers to program these events.I would love if possible for them to rerun past events with different prizes. Would they still be on the server?

I'd love to know their reasoning behind this basic event style. Probably to reduce technical problems. Wish they would just add a couple more features during big events. I miss more than anything, logging into my game and finding gifts and eggs left by friends. That was so much fun. I miss the spawning creatures, or something attacking, attaching itself to a character. So maybe that many things going on at once is just too overwhelming for our operating systems to handle. I don't think it's laziness, if anything probably a budget concern.

Does EA store old events in their systems? I wonder if it would be possible for them to rerun old crafting events with new prizes at Halloween and Christmas etc.

I miss the old events too. They were a lot more challenging as they involved visiting other Springfields, looking for hidden items and tapping on “visitors” to earn prizes. My favorite was the Stonecutters event.

All the events have been the same format for in excess of 2 years now so in all honesty I can't see it changing anytime soon, mini event look exactly the same but only a single part, the bigger events follow the same 5 part multi week system.

There were the 3 main quests like now

As you mentioned a large part of former events was visiting neighbors both to collect things and drop them off. But now just visiting neighbors has gotten glitchy; it seems half the time I go to the Other Springfield my neighbors have disappeared (I have 5 games so I log in out between the games a lot). So if some of the event currency (gifts, eggs, etc.) depends on accessing neighbors the event could be just a frustrating disappointment.

Yeah, I miss all that stuff also. I also miss the events that had a movie clip for completing acts such as the Wild West one. Good times.
