Why did they stare? Kana hadn't been much for humankind, though they seemed entirely for her. She'd been fishing the night previous; as she couldn't venture out during the day, and had been trailed by a group of young fishermen. The lads couldn't have been more than 18 years old - calling for her, calling so desperately she felt a heavy weight in the bottom of her stomach. Dread. She truly dreaded humans.
The moon was soft tonight, and she turned her eyes up to gaze at it. It wasn't so lonely with such a wonder staring back at her.
