Farming EP?

What do you guys think about the idea of a Farming EP? I like the thought of Sims raising farm animals such as horses, donkeys, chickens, turkeys, etc. I also like the thought of them raising produce to either sell or for their own consumption. This probably won't happen in TS4. If the creators of the TS5 actually were to consider this, they would have to figure out how to make it fun, engaging with at least some realism.

It's a popular idea. If you type "farming expansion" in the search bar above, you will get 73 pages of threads. ;)

The Farming EP is, along with Generations, the most requested EP during this las time.

The reasons are mostly the lack of another fauna in the game besides cats, dogs and fishes. In The Sims 2 but specially in The Sims 3, you can find chickens, deers, cows, horses, wolves and skunks. Another objects and rural related activites also are high demanded by the players, like crafting hobbies (sewing and pottery), composting, lawn mowing, homemade food (cheese, butter), canning (jam, pickles, sauce) more harvestables and building tools like natural ponds.

Also, the possibly of adding medieval and off the grid like activities like forging, archery or wood chopping makes a farming EP in the top of the most requested packs for TS4.

I don't think you will raise animals for later killing thems and eat them in TS4, i think you will raise thems for other propouses like milk, fiber or eggs.

It's been over a year since I've visited or posted on this website. My, how time has flown by.

Maybe it will happen in TS5, maybe it won't. Not everyone has the same opinion about each installment of The Sims so we can't please everyone.

Of course not, I was hoping back in 2008 for a celebrities and magic packs for TS2 before EA moved to TS3, but I think a farming EP is possible after all the country and farming related items relased via TS3 Store:

    -Chicken coop
    -Grandpa tractor
    -Cow corral
    -Butter churn
    -Water wheel
    -Canning station
    -Gardening station

Without mentioning horses as pets, nothing of above were relased in TS2 or TS1 (with the exception of the butter churn).

It's like to mention amusement park related items, showtime careers like magician, singer or acrobat and futuristic stuff. The Sims 4 will be supported for at least two more years, and with the kits as a way to release items without a specific theme, the farming EP will be a thing soon or later for TS4, specially now with the pandemic and the lockdown.

I think it could possibly happen in TS5. The question is how can such a game be made fun and engaging?
