Merry Christmas from Willow Creek! Mila starts off her morning with another daily injection

Trying to keep out of the way, Mila decides to put up a few last-minute decorations

Zach and Mila are having a family Christmas with Clarissa and Henry this year, and the parents are excited to visit and check in with the couple

Hellos are said and holiday greetings exchanged. Clarissa compliments the table and even snaps a picture of it, making Mila feel very proud

Zach adds a few last minutes gifts from Henry and Clarissa to the pile under the tree

And resists the urge to peek inside! Mila breaks open the wine for everyone (mixing herself a cola, of course!)

And then it’s time to call everyone to the meal!

Of course, everyone compliments Zach on a job well done! They share cheesy Christmas jokes, share family stories, and laughter fills the house

Then Zach hops up to make a toast, to his beautiful wife, their journey over the past year, and of course to Henry and Clarissa and all of their help, both emotionally and financially

With lunch finished and a few minutes rest to digest a wonderful meal, everyone decides to pull their Christmas crackers!

Inside are funny jokes, candy and other bits and bobs!

Then it’s time for presents! Clarissa goes first, opening a beautiful gift of a personalised photo album with photos of the couple, some new throw cushions (what else for an interior designer!) and a few new books

Henry goes next, receiving some new books, a new scarf, and a potted plant (he’s quite a keen gardener, after all!)

Next up is Zach, who opens up his gift of new kitchenware, a particularly snazzy chef’s coat, and a new tablet! Wow!

Finally, it’s Mila’s turn. She receives some new clothes, books, and a coffee machine! That will certainly come in handy!

With gifts opened and thank you’s exchanged, everyone sits down to enjoy some hot apple pie for dessert

After everyone is thoroughly stuffed with dessert (Mila had 2 pieces of pie!) everyone sits down to talk some more. Mila tells Henry and Clarissa about the three houses they went to view the other day

And tells them that they certainly have a favourite they’re hoping to save up enough for by Spring. She shares some photos of it with them, and both parents approve!

Despite all the fun, the day turns to evening and it’s time for the parents to bid farewell and head home

It’s been a wonderful day full of laughter, family memories and delicious food, which has absolutely exhausted Zach and Mila! So after waving their parents off and agreeing to finish the cleaning tomorrow, they head to bed.
