Following The Fords - Legacy Story

Last night we found out some very exciting news: Zach and Mila are having a baby! They’ve told their friends, and now it’s time to tell Henry and Clarissa that they’re going to be grandparents! Being about to share this news makes Mila think of her Mother, and how much she wishes she was here to share this moment with her…

Mila decides on an outfit for the day – she has a small little bump and it’s so cute

Zach and Mila head to a nearby brunch place to meet with Clarissa. They all greet each other happily

And sit down to order

While they wait for the food, Clarissa asks the couple how their New Year’s celebrations were. They tell her all about the party, Summer’s engagement, and the fireworks. Then they tell her all about their resolution!

Clarissa is absolutely thrilled to hear the news!

Their food comes and the three sit to eat. Clarissa tells the couple how excited she is for them, and they tell her that they’re hoping to move into a new home before the baby comes.

After brunch they say their goodbyes – Clarissa congratulates the couple again as she heads home

Back at home, there’s just enough time for a quick change and goodbye from Zach

Leaving Mila to head over to Britechester to tell Henry the news

At the house, Clarissa greets her father happily

And the two sit down and talk about their New Year’s plans. Henry has decided it’s getting time to retire, and has decided to put his house up for sale and buy a small cottage somewhere peaceful – perhaps near Zach and Mila’s new home

Mila says that sounds like a great idea, especially with his grandchild on the way!

It takes Henry a moment to register what Mila has said, but after a gesture to the small bump, he realises that she’s pregnant! And he’s over the moon!

Henry and Mila talk a little more about the baby and the house, before talk moves to Penelope. Henry tells Mila how proud Penelope would be of her, and how much she’d have loved to meet her grandchild. He suggests they take a visit to her grave and pay their respects.

So they hop in the car and head to the cemetery

Both spend some time telling Penelope about their lives and how much they miss her, before Henry steps away under the pretence of visiting his own parent’s grave so Mila has some time alone. She sits and tells Penelope all about her journey of trying for a baby, and how excited she felt when she found out she was pregnant. She tells her that she misses her, and hopes she’s watching over her.

After a while it’s time to head home. Henry and Mila share an emotional hug as they say goodbye to Penelope

And Mila heads home, just in time to be greeted by Zach, who has returned home from work

He’s brought home some leftovers from work, and the two tuck in

Zach asks how Mila’s visit with her father went, and she tells him about their talk and visit to the cemetery

Then, with a little time before they want to head to bed, they decide to watch some TV
