Maybe they could include a costume box like in Sims 3, and the kids would act like if they were what they are dressed as.
I would love to have Pumpkins as a new harvestable. I can see they adding the Juicer, and we could make Punpkin Juice. Punpkin Soup, Pumpkin Cake... Lots of pumpkin stuff!
