How I Have Been Amusing Myself
Whenever I get frustrated, angry or just plain fed up, I often will go into my game and build. For some strange reason, I find it relaxing. Well, since some of my older builds are now kapoot after the latest few patches, I got an urge to build one anew. I miss my castles. 😦
I began this yesterday, after my game went bonkers on me and decided to roll back the calendar to the Fall. I'm so done with Fall in my game, but does it care? Nope.
So, since I had to exit my game during the Starlight Accolade Show a few times, due to Hosts who completely left their decorum in their other evening gown, and/or suit, I finally tracked down the problem. Yes, it was a mod. This particular mod has withstood other patches, which is why it took me so long to realize, 'Hey why don't you check it out, see if it's been updated. Yes, it had, and I was back in business. First Sunday of Winter only happens, once, aftercall. Unless you're stuck in Ground Hog Day, that is. Oi
One more time I ran through the scenario. With all of the dress-rehearsals, the four eldest kids managed to dress for the occasion in record time, so that they got to the PBP Studios Lounge in time. Awards were handed out and then the family chose to go out to dine. That's when it became apparent that His Majesty's Table, the original and the second build weren't functioning at all. Sadness.
So, I scrapped HMT II and had a bit of relaxing fun starting it from scratch. I decided part of the problem had to be the enormity of the restaurant. Four floors, including rooftop dining was just too much. Toning it down, I'm hoping to give it a test drive very soon.
Ladies and Gentlebeans, I present to you, His Majesty's Table, take three: Note the kitchen is on the same floor as the diners. There will be no climbing of stairs, since the contractor argued against them. No rooftop dining, although a romantic idea, it's impractical, especially in the waning evening when a cold wind is blowing like crazy and yet the Host seats you way up there. Hoping, perhaps, you'll get blown off of the roof? 😕 (I've heard of critics before, but that's taking the criticism a bit too far.)
I know evening shots can make it hard to see, but the sunset was just so pretty.
Thank you for your very kind attention.
