I'd like it to be something that is only triggered if you own a lawnmower. I don't like it when gameplay is forced. I can just delete my laundry machine, no more laundry. The larger households it just gets annoying because Sims just aren't that smart.
Laundry gameplay should be deactivated like the dust one. I love to have vaccuum cleaners in my lot but without the dust gameplay. - sounds super fun and could prob make a fun event when the grass gets to high

I want gameplay with lawnmowing, I want something to do for the dads and you know garage stuffs, enough of vaccuming I want fresh air! Lol A kit would be nice for that, just like Bust the dust, but this time, if they put bugs or some annoying things like the fiends, optional... I still wish they add an option to disable bunnies...
I use a mod for grass to grow, it's pretty cool if you like mundane realistic chores.

There are so many more fun ideas for gameplay other than chores.
May be nice for teenage sims to earn some money by mowing their neighbors' lawns. But I agree that a manicured lawn just for the sake of it it's not fun gameplay. Maybe if they added some lawn games to go with the manicured lawn it would make more sense and be more enjoyable gameplay.
Clean swimming pool, rake leaves and snow shoveling too - I like sound of this. New gameplay would be good. I’d only be interested if this was a stuff pack or maybe a game pack.
Only those plants already needing attention and new plants in the pack should need maintenance. I wouldn’t like every tree, shrub, flower or whatnot needing weeding!
I’d like rich Sims to be able to buy those mowers you can ride on but hire gardeners to do it for them!
Perhaps shaping bushes should be tied to skill levels, so the first few tries the shape goes wrong but after level 7 you create perfect bush shapes. "InuMiroLover;c-18088340" wrote:
Not really seeing any fun gameplay out of more chores... :/
I say yes, please. Imagine a player wanting to play as the housekeeper of a large family on a large lot. I do this in the other games sometimes. Unfortunately, TS4 has little to clean up after those Sims if there aren't any kids in the household who make any messes. (Parenthood).
In the older games, my Mrs. Johnson has to find the dirty dishes (sometimes left upstairs on a desk or on a table etc.) and wash them. Make the beds, imagine actual simulation of this chore in Sims 1 and 2. Has to weed the lot, they grow anywhere there has been a puddle and over time, tend the vegetables, help with homework with the kids, cook the meals, fix the drinks, serve the platters, mop the floors, encourage the kids in good or bad ways (depending on the story), put away all the toys, go to the grocery stores, go shopping for the family for new clothes for each member as money permits, answer the phone, bring in the newspapers, buy the magazines, make the flower arrangements, pay the bills, make chicken soup when someone is ill, and a maybe a dozen more things all in the day. Mowing the lawn so I could add a groundskeeper to also play that simulation would be a fun thing for some of us.
Unfortunately. in TS4, that Mrs. Johnson I added to my large households didn't have to lift a finger since nothing ever got dirty and or beds didn't really need to be made and there are no papers and magazines to pick up or buy, and or even read, so she was always in the way with her socializing and constant interruptions.

The reason I don't hire maids or butlers in my game is because there is simply no need for one in small households. What's a maid going to do coming in every day? Sims do their own dishes most of the times, sinks and bathtubs don't get dirty that often, you get the occasional puddle when a sink breaks but that doesn't happen often either, and if you have a roomba you don't need to vacuum.
