Ever since I've been thinking about the potential addition of magic, I've been thinking much the same. I'd love magic as a complex skill that any sim can learn. I also think it could be really cool if the fairy lifestate came back at the same time, so fairies could learn magic faster and unlock a few extra fairy powers as they learn the skill. Ideally I'd love it if magic was not entirely linear, too. Like as you learn magic, you can select specific powers, or read books to learn specific spells, or something like that. I want my fairies and witches to be varied.
