Managing Simoleons Game Pack

People keep talking about it, so here's a vague concept for a money themed game pack

Personal accounts
So your sims don't have to share all their money

Family loans
Want to extend you home, or buy a business, but don't have the money yet? Take out a high risk loan!

Pocket money
Feed the piggy bank, or spend it all on candy!

Newspaper
To watch the stock market, old style.

Laptop
If you're too cool for newspapers

Simoleon career!
From accountant to Wolf of Door street!

Real Estate career
Buy and sell properties, manage rental properties for landlords

New outfits
- Threadbare, worn, shoes with holes, for the sims who can't afford their bills.
- Flashy and sleek, for the Wolf of Door street.

What else would you want to include in a money themed pack?

    Nice idea!
Split your personal funds between your chosen loved ones?

    yeah!!
  • Having separate individual funds feels like it might need to be patched in for everyone's games rather than included in a pack, since it would affect the UI and change a lot about how game mechanics worked (eg do you pool everyone's funds together when the household wants to move? or only the adults? whose funds do you use when buying furniture?) However, I like the sound of all these ideas so whether they come in a pack or a patch, it would be nice to see more consequences built into the game related to your Sim's finances!
  • I think we'd have the household funds as the default and we as players would get to decide how much i.e. by percentage of a sim's daily income got to be put into a separate bank account for them to spend when they go out, and when moving out of the main household. And perhaps sims could also deposit lump sums too.
