More cohesive hairstyles and styling options for existing hair styles

I would really love if future sdx-drops could include additional hairstyles to match the ones that are already in games, so that there are variations in styles and updos on each hair cut, to make it easier to find different styles for different occasions.

For example the this hair:

This, and other hair styles with bangs, need updos that take the bangs into consideration. More hairstyles for each individual bang to give us reasonable styling options.

It's even more important when it comes to colored hair such as these:

After all, hair color doesn't just vanish when I put my hair up, or take it down to sleep.

Also things like curls, dreads and braids could be taken into consideration, so that for each hair cut there were individual styling options available. Anyone else who would love this?

    Yes! Exactly this!

    And as for the horns for every hairstyle, that could be in the hats category - so you could add it and remove it at will and fit it to any hairstyle you want to. Same with that veil from mws, or the flowers from il. Let me choose when to use it or not.

    yeah i was thinking of occult accessories in the horns part i just got stuck with the " why does fun head accessories always have to remove hair and especially bangs" thing :lol:

    This! So. Much. THIS!!!! I HATE that I can’t let my sims have hairstyles that look like they’re made from the same hair and I HATE that they updated the older hairstyles with the new colours in such a sloppy, lazy way. Update them properly with better quality as well! The new hairs have so much more detail and character than the older ones! They need to go back and redo them so their colours and textures are consistent between each hairstyle and the there are more versions with matching bangs and lengths, instead of the same hairstyle with different shaved patches at the back!

    Maybe do like something like The Sims 2 did for furniture and have 2 separate colours categories? One for the base hair and one for highlights, and then we can mix and match? That way they don’t need multiple versions of the same hair, cuz people get to decide if they want different highlights or not?

    That would be lovely. I also like to give my sims different hairstyles for different occasions but based on same style and length. Where possible I even give them bed hair that looks a bit messy with their sleepwear. For sportswear I usually give them ponytails. And some dresses would definitely look lovely with up-dos. But I usually don't like to give my sims helmet kind of hair that covers the ears, because you can't see the earrings. I don't think I've ever seen anyone in real life wear their hair in a way that covers both ears like that. Usually, the hair is swept back behind one of the ears at least.

    Exactly! It shouldn't be so hard if the devs just kept it in mind when creating hairstyles. There are definitely a few that works well, but with many I end up skipping the hairstyle because I cannot have more than that one style. I love the idea of messier bed hair, but I struggle enough with just the updos.

    Ideally, you'd choose a basic hairstyle and then in mirrors, you'd be able to change the style into variations of the same length and cut for different occasions, but then that would be an entirely new game mechanics, and I'm not sure that would even be doable in the present game. For sims 4, I'd just settle for more cohesiveness when adding new hairstyles.

    I don't know if I'd want them to make hair linked like that, do like the freedom to be able to choose whatever hairstyle, I can pretend they are using a wig or extensions, etc. But I agree with you that they need to consider the hair cuts and give several styling options for them. Like for that first hair you posted there is also a ponytail with that kind of straight bangs, but the ponytail is a rather informal and sporty option if you want to keep the bangs visible. Would be nice to have a hair with same bangs, but the rest of the hair tied up in a bun.

    I feel summoned
    I never give my Simmingals other hairstyles (unless i use hat to cover the head somehow) because this one is just perfectly me shaped

    that said I wish there was longer and shorter version that was otherwise exactly the same

    maybe there could be slightly curly/wavy edition

    and it would be nice to have fancy updo for balls and hunger games and maybe like ponytail or braid for athletic with samey shape on the bangs and samey weight of the hair

    also i wish this hair would just like show up under some of the hats/outfits it doesn't (like hoods for instance are constant sad cause they make everyone bald)

    and that we could have some head accessories maybe that don't hide the hairstyles since those could help

    like this but its all plants n flowers vibe so it looks plantsim do it

    I am in love with some of the hair in Disney Dreamlight Valley...Like the long braids with the half bun, super cute; the LONG ponytail; the short pigtails braids; the Ariel hair that you can buy; the blue wave hair in the newest event - speaking of long hair, I like how the long hair in DDV is ACTUALLY super long. That's unlike most video games and I approve.
