I liked in Sims 3 how the way you raised your child affected whether you got the option to choose their traits. It would be interesting if they added that sort of functionality to Sims 4. The issue, I suppose, is not having toddlers - there's not much to do with babies to determine how well you 'raised' them. But if Simmers didn't like the trait their child or teen received through the Sims 3 system, it's very easy to edit traits with CAS full edit mode.
