Episode 34: A Short Detour
Julianna had only been training Domino for about a month when she heard about an opportunity to purchase a rental property in Tomarang. The property was currently owned by one of her acquaintances, Nancy Landgraab, who had made a fortune managing several properties. She was now downsizing her operations and selling several of the properties.
Domino's training was going well, and Hannah and Elliott were there to help out on the ranch so Julianna decided to purchase the property. The residential rental was Sungai Point, a three unit property.
Two of the units were occupied and Julianna was hoping to quickly find a third tenant for the empty unit.
She decided to visit the unit, introduce herself to the tenants, and check out the unoccupied unit to see if it was in rentable condition.
After introducing herself and speaking with them for a while she discovered that while the landlord was adequate, it seemed there was room for improvement in the management of the residential rental. She would let him go and manage the units herself.
It didn't take long for Julianna to realize she'd gotten in way over her head. Managing the rental unit left very little time for her ranching responsibilities. And Domino's training was being neglected. She made the decision to sell the apartment unit and refocus on getting Domino to the top of the championship circuit and completing her Championship Rider aspiration.
And thank goodness she's done with that rental business. Because Hannah and Elliott are expecting! 🍼
That was a good call to cut your losses and refocus back on your ranch. Congrats on their upcoming baby!

It was great that she tried out managing a rental apartments build though she found it a bit too much work. It is good to give things a go. It is better though for her to enjoy getting back to training Domino. I hope that her work on an achieving the Championship Rider aspiration goes well. Congratulations to Hannah and Elliott! 🙂
