Here you go, fellow adventurers. I've taken the liberty to take over the sorcerer role just for fun. Here is my shots and my character background. Assignment 2 is coming soon.
Safiya Zynar - Sorcerer
Twas the first time my powers manifested and it was then I realised I could not stay in my village. Lâo (grandmamma) knew she had passed down the gift of magic to me, as her forebears had to her. I dabbled in the elements under her tutelage for many moons, yet I lived a simple life. My mā ma (mother) worked her fingers to the bone on the farm produce and animals whilst my bà ba (father) travelled far and wide to fight the battles that were becoming far too common in our realm.
My kingdom of Jiantou grew more and more turbulent and with that my village kin of Sounai became apprehensive and on edge. Unruly boorish menfolk, more interested in how much ale they could consume instead of trading, began to frequent our village. Less and less travellers stopped by our village, so our merchants suffered constant decline. Once Sounai, was a flourishing marketing village and folk came from all around to deal in our fine textiles and produce.
My comfortable existence seemed to crumble in front of my eyes. I watched as gradually my kinfolk’s companions and comrades left Sounai one by one. It was when my first love, forced to depart with his kith and kin, that my inner magic let loose. Although Lâo ensured I made progress in controlling this, it grew stronger as I aged, but when my furies peaked I could not focus.
In my culture, being a female did not hold high esteem, and it was considered dishonourable if one such as I spoke my mind. This day I showed my displeasure loudly to a group of braggarts. Menfolk that had become befuddled with ale. I had taken up serving in our local tavern to aid my family albeit against the wishes of my mā. I endured their uncouth and vulgar advances for many moons, and when my beloved was forced to depart our village, this proved too much for me to bear.
“Tis ye folk who hath blighted this village! Driven my kin and my only beloved away,” I shrieked, but I knew forthwith I should not have spoken. A group that had been particularly brash, threw chairs around and upturned heavy oak tables as they loomed closer to me, yelling cusses that had never reached my ears before. Out of fear and anger my clothing flared, and fireballs burst forth from my hands setting the tavern ablaze. Alas as I ran outside, other buildings around me lit up, infiltrating the ink-black sky with billows of dense smoke. Many folks took flight, fleeing for their lives. In my fortune, Lâo doused the flames with magic, but many folk lost their lives that day and I departed without delay, never to return. I shamed my kinfolk and I thus I dare not show my face there again.
