- cyncie3 years agoSeasoned AceThis is not my build. I got it from The Gallery. But I replaced the standard Magic HQ with this cool version. The main building still functions the way it’s supposed to, and the cool tower gives my sim a place to actually stay while in The Realm. It was already pretty livable, and I did a bit of interior renovation to make it a real home away from home. It has no ground floor entrance, so randoms can’t access it. My sim just transportalates in, or you could use a broom.

and indeed he has so I am now modifying
(correction: destroying with my bad minimal tastes)
The Mirage and its hundred times more magical than any build i was making 😆
also fits that lot so well
now if only i could figure out way to add ground floor 😆- Mine isn't looking magical, because it is a space station launched by the MIT.

At the moment only a single room is finished, the wandmaking classroom (for training handyness and the modded enchanting skill):

Next up are the laboratories, but my only alchemist sim has a large lab in his basement already, so I'm not in a hurry to complete this. - MDianaSims3 years agoSeasoned AceHere's a link to mine:

I tried to grab a picture, but tumblr is being annoying and won't let me copy the image link ?
I built a new magic HQ a couple of years ago to be the standard replacement. I do intend to change it though, make it smaller and less symmetrical/more whimsical. - CAPTAIN_NXR73 years agoLegend

@Simmingal Why thank you!
Note that a ground floor isn't necessary to enter the building. It's a floating palace so your sims should be able to teleport via the portals.
If you want a ground floor regardless, just build a wall underneath the first floor. It'll be automatically converted into a room, aka ground floor. ;) "CAPTAIN_NXR7;c-18145441" wrote:

I'll mess around and see what I end up with I guess 😅- ck2133 years agoLegendI've been wanting to replace that building since day one.
I wanted to make an area for each Sage, but I don't think there is any way to make a sage stay in their area.
It might be better to create a shared Sage space.
As much as I love Realm of Magic, I have hardly played it.
I spend too much time on set up and sampling new packs. - CAPTAIN_NXR73 years agoLegend

Haha, are you saying my floating palace is giving you vertigo? :D
The magical forces will keep it and your sims in place, do not worry, there shall be no tumbling down into the void!
But if you need steadiness for your own feeling of safety a ground floor is indeed the better option. I decided to keep it floating and just add stairs in the end
(we'll just pretend theres something magical holding it there)
(yes the difference between simmingals ugly tower and captains beautiful palace is perfectly splendid 😆)
now I just need to do interior and try to balance Moroccan and Magic Realm vibes
or otherwise its gonna be Moroccan Realm 😂
also unsure how much i want landscaping
I added the magical bean portal and retired wishing well
(cause i don't have actual wishing well yet and i need to keep space for it) but idk- CAPTAIN_NXR73 years agoLegendThat tower looks great @Simmingal! It totally suits the aesthetics. Again, I’m going to assume that this is not a floating tower. ?
The stairs to the palace work perfectly well. Don’t worry about all this gravity defying business. That’s the charm of the Magic Realm: Anything is possible! Although I wish more things in RoM were possible gameplay wise but that’s another topic entirely….
