- ldm2New SpectatorI haven't really made any changes to it, except to take out all the celebrity lot traits & rope barriers to try to make it more inclusive. And evict the premade households as I always do. I have a couple with a toddler living there, because I try to have at least one household in every world, but they're still stuck in a starter home because the next lot up is 250,000, so it'll be a while before they can move. Their little girl is going to grow up to be an actor, but the parents just have regular jobs right now.
- What is in Del Sol Valley? It really is a good question! Octavia and Judith are thinking about it right now...
https://i.imgur.com/U1loT1m.png - KathykinsSeasoned Newcomer@DeiraShadeweaver Same. Playing without mods at all is out of the question. I tried, didn't even last a week :D And I have to say, LOVE the picture of the rat :) I used to have rats when I was younger, might even get one again. They are incredibly good company :)
Oh and I also forgot to say I have Johnny Zest and Fab Izzy living in DSV too. I've played them quite a bit, they live in the uhh...Vacuous Green or whatever the lot is called. Izzy is a Style Influencer, so for once random neighbourhood walkers are useful. - Fancy restaurant instead of Museum. Heavily edited other community lots.
I once reguested a fast food joint from someone , about a year ago, but have sense forgotten about it, this thread reminded me about it :)
Currently up in hill I have Greek style mansion. nothing at other 2 lots.
in residential , cheaper area I have houses what I tried to match surroundings as good as I could. - elizabethjane818New NoviceExpensive area: Vennesa, Judith Ward and Bailey-Moon. There’s also a boyfriend that goes between Vanessa and Judith that they are always fighting over
Park area: Morgan Fyres is married to Yuki Behr. Morgan is an extraverted vampire who loves to party. She also donates tons of money to keep from being hated. Yuki is more introverted and doesn’t like going out as much, but they make it work. I just aged up their kids. One boy is an extraverted vampire who loves to party, like his mom. But he goes a bit overboard with the drinking plasma. The older son is jealous he didn’t get the vampire gene and is a spellcaster.
Jed Harris is in the other house. He’s trying to keep two secrets in check while pursuing serious acting. One, his family is embarrassing and the other is that he’s gay.
Everywhere else: I put as many nightclubs and exclusive bars as possible. No gyms or parks. Just nightclubs.
I really wish this world was bigger - amapola76Seasoned HotshotI've mostly left it as it is. I did change the small downtown park to a restaurant, which is a taco truck with outside seating and still has a tiny park area with chess tables and a small dance floor, with a Latin Pop speaker attached to the taco truck. I really love the way it turned out, and my sims go there a lot for first dates, or for a quick bite after a night out at the clubs.
I also removed the gym and added a pan-Asian restaurant. It's pretty nice, with a koi pond and a large dance floor in the back, so I send sims there for special occasions a lot.
I think the only other change I made was to add a shabby triplex to the empty lot in the starter neighborhood. (Vacuous Green, I think?) It's basically just three small run-down detached houses, with a basketball court, a small laundromat, and a bunch of dumpsters in the back of the lot.I haven't added any families to it yet, but I have a few in mind, I'm just waiting for some potential future packs. I'm thinking an elderly lady with lots of pets, a single YA musician (if we ever get a band pack), and a single dad mechanic (if we ever get a car pack) with kids. That seems like a good combo for lots of drama. :D "CAPTAIN_NXR7;c-18182571" wrote:
I began building it in 2021 but I keep forgetting about that build, same way I keep forgetting about Del Sol Valley. :D
Big mood tbh
was just reminded myself cause I was thinking that maybe the new kit could work there
I feel like I have to do something about those lots eventually
especially the pinnacles been driving me crazy since release cause I like Judiths lot but nothing I build there ever works for some reason
and I feel like i really need to get couple modern mansions built for the premades to stop being homeless
and that accolades venue too is just so sad whenever i play famous sim
I keep battling inner me just saying " escape back to Forgotten Hollow ... Sol is simply too much here"
but dang if i could just get it done once... even just the exteriors... so I could run right into basement and place my coffin there...- I gave up on using Mirage Park. I had a played household at Upland Place Reno but I discovered that everytime I loaded up that family the game would generated children sims due to the playground just outside the lot. I had put a house in there that I rather liked, so it was a bit annoying to not be able to keep using it - but I have no sims in my game younger than teens and delete any that appear. I've found they rarely appear now that I stop using that neighborhood.
I do have one played household now up in Chateau Peak. I had a mega-star celebrity appear in my game as a townie and I liked the name, so I moved them into there and made it an active household.
Eventually I grabbed a completely new house off of the gallery for that lot because the existing one was so strange.
Otherwise, I've made minor edits to the lots in Starlight Boulevard. - @DeiraShadeweaver Have you tried my second-favorite mod, noprerollautonomy? I think there are two mods that do the same, namely disabling the autonomous actions sims attempt during the loading screen. Maybe loading times will be quicker if the game doesn't have to calculate those for ten sims.
Keeping autonomy off ihelps a lot, and I also have neighborhood stories off and use both simulationlagfix and simulation unclogger. The most I ever played this way were thirty sims during a detective career staff outing. Fifty would probably cause me physical headache, keeping track of so many is really impressive! - BurnziieNew RookieI've added the Grovestreet houses onto the Cul De Sac and that's truly about it, I've not gotten around to knowing what else I can add namely for the community lots
