One Month One World One Year Challenge 2022

Robin is the daughter of my 2021 challenge sim, Jules Warner. Another fun fact about Robin too is that she's the granddaughter of the first sim I ever created back in 2017 when I got the game too, so she's a super special sim :) Robin has recently celebrated her teen birthday and she's feeling restless and anxious to get out of the sleepy town of Henford-On-Bagley. Enamored with her mother's stories of her travels and her time spent soul searching as a teen, Robin has insisted on doing the same, and is off to explore the world.

So Robin was born in Sulani in my challenge from last year when both her parents were mermaids, thus leading to Robin being a mermaid as well. I changed her family members back when they moved to the next world, but since Robin was born a mermaid, I decided to keep her as one. Since the mermaid occult state doesn't help with any aspirations directly or really even have any perks that would make gameplay significantly easier (at least that I can think of off the top of my head), I'm gonna keep her as a mermaid until I need to have her take on another occult state for any upcoming worlds.

Also, Robin has a dog named Pepper that she's had since childhood, and since I played with pets well before getting to Brindleton Bay last year, I decided I'll add the challenge of Robin having her pup with her from the start. If the dog gets to be too much, then I'll send her back home to live with Robin's family, but I wanted to try it out for now :)

Robin has a few sentimental items she's keeping from my challenge last year. First she has several family photos from over the years. She also has one of my favorite paintings that Jules has done, and her birth certificate. I decided she could have Jules' SimRay too, as a running gag from last years challenge :D Jules also wrote her a Book of Life, which she has done for all of her children now. Her father, Emmett, made the dragon sculpture and gave her the zen garden, one of his work rewards that Robin always loved playing with growing up. Her brother, Rowan, gave her the fish tank since he's always loved fishing and hopes she will too. Her other brother, Riley, gave her the journal so she could chronicle her adventures (I am toying with doing a diary style format for this year). And her sister Ruby gifted her a Lil Grim that she knitted, and the conch shell is a souvenir from when they lived in Sulani last year, the world where Robin was born. I will not sell any of these items either - Robin's funds are at zero and she will be completing this challenge rags to riches style.

So I did start a new save, since I wanted to start fresh, but I did move a lot of sims that were important in last year's save over to this one, so I'll introduce them when necessary. Also if any premades were important to last year's story, I aged them up and gave them kids accordingly, but if they didn't play a role in my story last year or were deleted from my save, then they stayed as is for this challenge.

It was too cold to fish, but Robin was able to do some digging. She found fossil which she was able to sell.

With her newly earned money, she purchased Pepper a food dish.

She went to explore town a bit and found a pop up skating rink.

"Hello, you must be Robin!" A woman greeted her as she exited the rink. "You look a lot like your mom! I'm Kaori - your mom and I have been friends for years now. She mentioned that you were moving here for a bit, so I thought I'd keep an eye out for you. Please let me know if you need anything. I have two kids about your age too, so stop by anytime." Robin thanked her. Even though she was determined to survive on her own, it was nice to know her parents were looking out for her.

She autonomously purchased a burger from the vending machines, and I was worried since she's a vegetarian, but I guess they're not real meat since she was okay :D

She got a head start on some homework too. I'm keeping her in school for now, even though I can use MCCC cheats to have her drop out.

It was late in the day already since I had done some behind the scenes stuff which ate up some of my sim hours, so Robin decided it was time to try and get some sleep.
