At the gym I noticed a vending machine that sold sprays to repel the local insects. After my last couple of encounters with those fiends, I decided it was a good idea to keep it on hand. There were two options; one for hornets and the other for centipedes. Centipedes didn't sound as bad as hornets, so I went with that one even though I felt deep down that I should probably get both. After freshening up, I ran into Kaori again and she invited me to go see the different attractions along the hiking trail in town since we never got to them during yesterday's walk. It was drizzling out and Kaori offered to share her umbrella but I declined; being that close to her would cause me to blush and sweat an embarrassing amount.

As we headed to our first stop a giant centipede landed on my shoulder and stung me in the neck! These blasted insects, I knew I should have bought both repellents!

Now my neck was throbbing, and along with being wet from the rain I was starting to feel a little miserable. Our first stop was at a shrine/cemetery. I thought it looked cool so I took a picture before noticing Kaori had her head bent down and was crying; I kind of felt like an idiot and wasn't sure if I should try to comfort her so I just bent my head and stayed quiet.

We stopped at the wishing board and we both made a wish, mine was for Koari and I to be good friends and maybe some day more?

We circled around and stopped to take in the scenery at the bridge. Even in my discomfort I could appreciate how beautiful it all looked. Kaori took a selfie while I looked at a map and determined going back through the bamboo forest would get us to the park faster than going over the bridge.

I apologized to Kaori that I had groaned for most of the hike after being bitten, but she said she understood and that she now considered me a good friend! Yes, my wish came true! After using the restroom and getting something to eat there was enough time to do another midnight yoga class and to sell a few things on my sales table before heading home.
