I love how their relationship is unfolding too. When I started this challenge I had someone completely different in mind for Aaron but Hunter was the one who showed up at the lounge and came over to Aaron all on his own. Fun to see who sims choose.
Yes, he does know Hunter is a vampire. Story-wise, I wrote him as always subconsciously knowing that something was different about him but that he never fully realised or thought about it until he saw Hunter burning in the sun that one time. And he knows in game too :)
