I agree with @pottergoose that it's difficult to find nice things to hang on the walls but if you use the cheat: bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement you unlock all the career awards and objects. Maybe it encourages you to finish your room. No room is perfect, but we all enjoy looking at eachothers rooms and that's the main thing. Happy Simming!
