Such a fun theme again as usual @rosemow,thank you :) EDIT: I forgot to say originally I had planned to make a more relaxed room, maybe more in line with my Faded Floral Dining room-still pretty but slightly more informal if that makes sense? However I knew I wanted to use my favourite parquet flooring and once I fell in love with the silver-grey and white wall paper/panelling the room just seemed to take on a life of it's own and ended up much fancier than intended lol. At least my more upmarket and classic Sims will have somewhere they deem fitting to hold their reception hehe.
Theme for the week: A Wedding Reception Room

The fireplace and seating area to cosy up in away from the noise of the reception:

In game I would definitely put a door in going out to the veranda so poor Sims don't freeze if/when we get Seasons, but I so wanted to include an outdoor space as it was part of my initial inspiration that I thought it was worth adding in this way :)
Also, this post is so picture heavy but here are a couple of my version of Alison and Timothy taken when they and some of their friends kindly playtested the room for me,I couldn't resist, sorry!
A quiet moment in front of the fire before the guests arrive:

Not sure how well Alison thinks the speeches are going...

Or if anyone is very impressed with Timothy's dance moves o_O

Awww a kiss under the moonlight at the end of the big day <3

EDIT (for what seems like the 50th time): MOO is used in this room so for anyone interested in downloading please enable MOO cheat (bb.moveobjects) first then place room from Build Mode. The rugs in front of the fire sometimes seem to 'un layer' when placing the room,if this bothers you (it bothers me!) just relayer them in build mode so the palest one is centrally on top on the other two as per the picture earlier in the post ^^^:)
