Ya thats probably why you can't at all sympathise with those who loathe the loading screens.
It's been a while since I played TS3 but I have fond memories of being able to take my sim anywhere I want and it feeling like they were walking around in a proper world with other sims who had their own lives. I could wake my sim up in the morning, shower, eat breakfast and go for a jog past the beach and see other sims laying down on beach towels.
I miss being able to take my teen sims on dates at the boardwalk where they could ride rollercoasters. Send my kids to the arcade. ~.~ I'm considering not playing TS4 anymore or TS3 because both of them just make me sigh.
