I didn't mind at first because my loading times were short. But they do increase. I've tried on two systems, both with SSDs (well, the notebook has an mSSD, but same difference), and on both gaming laptop and (older but still exceeding recommended specs) gaming desktop, after awhile, loading screens were taking an excess of a minute. This means two minutes to get anywhere, which is ridiculous.
Of course, neither system had those 3 second load times I see some people mention (but have never seen either in the wild or on anyone's stream), but it was okay when they were 10-15 seconds. When they started hitting 20 seconds, it started getting annoying. because that's 20 seconds to get to the map, then 20 seconds to get to the new lot.
And those times when you can't travel with a member of your household for some inexplicable reason and you have to go back to them to travel? Again, that's more time.
I do not mind waiting for lots to render in sims 3 because I have a good video card and it takes a second. I use relativity so travel time is a non-issue for me as well. And I can actually leave someone writing a book or painting a painting while I have another sim go do something.
