I seriously love the sims series but it seems every next door house activates a loading screen. This was one of the reasons I'd never liked the sims 2 with all those loading, I thought by now sims 4 would of been like sims 3.I spent days on that game because of all the things you can do, it was too fun so I thought sims 4 would be exciting but it seemed more like a try hard sims 2 wannabe remake. Each game was different but I never liked the sims 2 uninstalled it the next week. Each of the games had their uniqueness but there should be a option to make it open world again.

No option to make it open world. There is no way to turn off loading screens.

Well, one of the gurus did say that almost nothing is impossible to achieve in the game. It's just a question of whether they'd put the time and work in to do it. It is one of the things putting me off playing and I am hoping that one day they would at least open up the 'mini hood' areas so that sims can visit the 5 or 6 Lots within an area without going through a loading screen.

Well, I've found one of the quotes I remembered, which seems to point to a possible change... one day lol. Everyone complains about the loading screens, they are not that bad. I don't even really notice them. Granted, I have yet to play Sims 3...

20 min loading screen...really? Island Paradise was a lagging mess, but mods helped to fix that. I would never tolerate a 2 minute loading screen let a lone a 20 minute. Even in the Sims 2 with all the stuff packs, expansion packs, and mods my load time was less than 2 minutes. I never had the bars and night club issues either. Sorry that you did.

Is it ok to link to mods that help with lag issues for sims 3? I would like to know more about these because lag is what stopped me from playing 3.

On the other hand, why did they decided to do loading screens again? I don't really mind it, but if they did an open world for S3 couldn't they have done something to improve it (like a real good story progression) so that there can be packed bars and stuff?

This trailer was actually made in mid-2008. I guess that makes The Sims 4 sound worse...

It is the people with "low-end" computers fault for the removal of open world and Create-A-Style.

I get that laptops/computers are expensive ... but I feel like we're missing out on a whole-new level of sims experience if they're catering too much to people to receive more money. (catering in this aspect)

I don't know why but I'm kind of disappointed. :disappointed:

They probably decided to cater to low end machine owners because they thought TS3 had enough content available to keep those with higher end pcs occupied. So like, TS4 for toasters TS3 for decent computer owners. Something for everyone.

edit: I am a lil disappointed too though. My comp doesn't run TS3 that well anymore (I own all expansions, all stuff packs, I have thousands of CC and lots of store content (gifts only, I refuse to purchase/use store items unless given to me by a friend)) but my comp is good enough where TS4 doesn't have to be so dumbed down to run it.

I didnt like the loading screens, my sims never leave the house. So they are just like the guy from the S3 video. They are alone, left out.
S3 was alive and free, S4 is like my sims are always grounded. Same neighborhood, its really fake. I feel sad about this, the sims was my favorite franchise ever.

If they are catering to people who can't afford to build up there computers, than why are they charging so much for the game? I know I've said this before in another post, but this excuse from EAxis really ticks me off.
