I like the idea in theory, but I do think it would get old kind of quickly. Another problem I've seen mentioned somewhere else is that if you have more than one kid, which one would you follow to school?
Now a private school kids would sleep away at during the work week and return home for weekends could be more interesting and doable. You could even have different types of private schools which would build up specific skills, eg. a military school would build up the fitness/motor skills, an art school would increase the various art skills/creativity, etc. You could than have the choice to follow your kids, remain with the parents, or rotate between them.
