Private Cloud in Gallery

I was thinking of uploading my custom stuff to the gallery, (to add my house to my profile) but I don't want to share my creations. I would like to easily save and back up my creations (privately) for another computer. I believe we should have a private cloud to back up our stuff if a reinstall is needed.

(I had to reinstall Origin and recreate my sim from scratch. :'( )

Sorry to hear you lost your data. You can copy everything in your library by making a copy of your Tray folder - it contains all the Households, Rooms, and Lots in your game library, shared or unshared. Also, you can see which files are associated with Tray content by using the Sims 4 Tray Importer at this site: https://luniversims.com/files/file/73-sims-4-tray-importer/

  • In a perfect world, yeah, but I doubt they're going to want to invest in or support something like that especially after the game's development period ends. The best thing to do is just periodically back up your tray folder. I back my stuff up to OneDrive once a month. It's better that way anyway because when EA's online services run into issues (like they often do) you'll still have access to your backups.

I noticed that there is a cloud storage option in Origin. Would it be easy for them to enable that for The Sims 4?
