Rebuilding Newcrest: A Sims 4 Legacy Challenge -

WIP I have a couple of things to edit such as lot traits and aspirations! If you have suggestions let me know!

Embark on this multi-generational journey across the city of Newcrest! Each generation has its own themes, challenges, and goals. All builds are location in Newcrest.

Once a week, host a neighborhood dinner part and invite ALL living family members! Take pictures, share pictures, share updates! This is intended to be played on normal or long lifespan, enjoy the ride!

Generation ONE – Rags to… Camper?!

Color Theme: Blue & Yellow

Goal:
Start from scratch on a 20x15 lot in Newcrest. Live off the land, grow your own food, and build a camper/trailer house within a 20k budget (including lot and build costs). Pass down your savings to your child as a vault.

Financial Challenges:

Build the camper within budget.
Save the remaining money in a vault to transfer to the next generation.
No selling paintings, writing books, or jobs - income mainly from farming and selling crops.

Traits:

Loves Outdoors, Plant Lover, and Socially Awkard

Lot Traits:

Simple Living
Off the Grid

Aspiration:

Nature Nomad

Reach level 10 in Natural Living, Wellness, and Gardening skills, and pass down 100k to your child.

Generation TWO – Color: Black, White, & Grey

Color Theme: Black, White & Grey

Goal:
Become a renowned journalist. Build on a 30x20 lot, master photography, writing, and complete the Nosey Neighbor aspiration.

Financial Challenges:

Build a 3-story, 6-bedroom home with the inheritance of 100k.
Have at least 3 roommates, marry or partner with one.
No official job — focus on skills, writing, and photography for income.

Traits:

Traits reflecting curiosity, ambition, or creativity.

Lot Traits:

No specific traits; focus on building enough space for a large family and studio.

Aspiration:

Nosey Neighbor or another appropriate creative aspiration.

Generation THREE – The Baker

Color Palette: Pink, Green, & White

Goal:
Own and operate a bakery on a separate lot (20x15). You can choose to run it as a hobby business or a fully-fledged 5-star enterprise.

Financial Challenges:

Reach 5-star status if running it as a business or accumulate a net worth of 400k if doing Dining Out.
Build the bakery separately and maintain its profitability.

Traits:

Neat trait (for the Moldy Lot challenge and cleanliness).
Traits related to creativity or food.

Lot Traits:

Bakery lot: creative, food-related traits possibly.
Moldy on both lots!

Aspiration:

Baking or Chef aspiration (or another that supports baking).

Generation FOUR – Colors: Brown & Green

Goal:
Move to the countryside and build on a 40x20 lot.

Financial Challenges:

Win the Ultimate Horse Championship.
Build a home for your children after winning, staying within a 40k budget (including lot, home, and all furnishings). Choose one as the heir.
Have 5 children, move the other four to a new lot in Newcrest.

Traits:

Outgoing, Family-oriented, or Rancher.

Lot Traits:

Ranch, or nature-oriented traits.

Aspiration:

Horse Racer or equivalent.

Generation FIVE – Colors: Blue & Brown

Goal:
Becoming a Coffee Connoisseur. Build a coffee shop and bookstore using in-game business options.

Financial Challenges:

Create a functioning and profitable coffee shop and bookstore.
Own 2 dogs and 2 kids, never marry.

Traits:

Nectar, social, or ambitious traits.

Lot Traits:

Business, cafe traits recommended.

Aspiration:

Master Mentor or a social/entrepreneurial aspiration.

Generation SIX – Build a City Park & Tiny Home Complex - Color Challenge RAINBOW!

Goal:
Design a community park or public space in Newcrest and build a tiny home complex on a separate lot to simulate urban development.

Financial Challenges:

Focus on community, utility, and development.

Traits:

Friendly, outgoing, or eco-friendly traits.

Lot Traits:

Park and Tiny Home traits.

Aspiration:

City Planner or Botanical.

Generation SEVEN – Colors: Black & Yellow

Goal:
Become a 5-star celebrity by pursuing a career in music, comedy, or singing.

Financial Challenges:

Build a nightclub on a separate lot, including a dedicated celebrity hangout space.
Maintain celebrity status with good fame points and avoid losing popularity.

Traits:

Outgoing, Charismatic, or Creative Traits.

Lot Traits:

Nightclub lot with fame-related traits.

Aspiration:

Musical Genius, Comedian, or Singer.

Generation EIGHT – Colors: Green & Purple

Goal:
Create a city morgue or cemetery on your home lot, fitting the theme of Thanology and the Grim Reaper.

Financial Challenges:

Build and decorate a morgue/cemetery that serves as a unique setting.
Maintain the theme of death, mystery, or the supernatural.

Traits:

Mortician, Eccentric, or Self-Absorbed Traits.

Lot Traits:

Haunted

Aspiration:

Paranormal Investigator or the "Secret Agent" aspiration (to embrace mystery & intrigue).

Generation NINE – Gemology

Goal:
Become a master of collecting and selling jewels. Collect all metals and gems, craft Plumbite, and meet needs solely with jewels.

Financial Challenges:

Cannot cook, sleep, or bathe after crafting and finding Plumbite.
Complete all metals and gems collections.

Traits:

Collector, Artisan, or Eccentric.

Lot Traits:

Jewelry or Mineral Traits if possible, or a neutral lot.

Aspiration:

Collector, Apothecary, or Master Mixologist (to add variety).

Generation TEN – Return & Remodel – Rebuild the Original Lot*

Goal:
Return to the original 20x15 lot in Newcrest with the camper. Remodel it into a mansion while staying on the lot.

Financial Challenges:

Use the Mansion Baron aspiration.
Maintain the lot size at 20x15.
Create a stunning mansion using any color palette or theme of your choice — consider using a pride flag palette that resonates with you!
