Royal Kingdom Challenge updates?

Have there been any updates to the Royal Kingdom Challenge in recent years? Especially since Cottage Living came out, and the lot challenges. I haven't played in years, but this was my favourite challenge in The Sims 2, and the rules I can find currently are very out of date. I even got Realm of Magic so my wizard family could actually do magic.

I don't have all the packs, but from the ones I do have, the Simple Living and Off the Grid challenges together make the early game really difficult, I would think that they would be great for peasants, and not allow them to buy groceries. Have the same challenges for merchants, but allow them to buy groceries. Nobles and Royalty would not have those challenges, or the nobles would only have Simple Living, for example.
