Seven Deadly Sims / Deadly Seven Challenge
Introduction
I know other challenges have been made following this theme, but I wanted to create my own version. As the name suggests, this challenge is all about the Seven Deadly Sins! So why does it have two names? Because there are two ways to play this challenge, and the name changes depending on which path you choose. Your sim will find their self at a fork in the road and must choose which path is the best option to take. After that, fate will take over and dictate the flow of your sim's life~ Do you trust lady luck enough to tackle this challenge?
The Story
Your childhood was a rather normal and mundane one, and you continued on that path through young adult hood. Born and raised in a small town, you enjoyed running through the countryside along with your older sibling and the family pet. You rarely got into trouble and your parents trusted you both greatly. No curfew had ever been necessary before you were always home before dark and your sibling always made it home before you, eager to study. Your grades had never been exceptional, jumping between a B and C on average. Your sibling, however, was very studious and never got anything but an A, never left the honor roll and had even become student council president. Despite these differences, your parents treated you both equally and respected that you each wanted something different out of life. While your sibling enjoyed staying indoors and studying with a dream to become a doctor, you preferred the freedom of exploring the world around you with no idea what dream you wanted to chase.
When your parents died, you decided it was time for a change and you moved to a new town hoping to find a fresh start and find an adventure that could fill the wound within your heart. While working part time at the local bookstore, you searched high and wide for the one magical object that would begin your adventure. After a year, you gave up, convincing yourself that this was the real world and such things just were not possible.
One stormy night, you received a phone call - your sibling had been hit by a car and was in critical condition. You dropped everything and drove the two day trip to your home town, but your sibling was still unconscious. The doctors had done all they could and the rest was up to your sibling. You refused to leave the waiting room - not to get food or use the bathroom or even sleep. All you did was sit there and cry, wondering why this had to happen. Your sibling was such a wonderful person, smart and had saved countless people. So why? Why did their life mean so little in the grand scheme of things?
"Because life is cruel and unforgiving," A deep voice answered your unvoiced question. Your head snapped up and through eyes blurred by tears, you found a tall man standing before you. Tufts of raven-colored hair poked out from his hood, bangs shrouding his dark eyes. The overcoat reached his knees, resting over a black sweater and black jeans. You could feel your alarm bells ringing, telling you to get away as fast as possible, but you didn't have the strength the move. "Tell me, young one, would you give anything to save your sibling?"
With no hesitation, you nodded.
He smirked, showing off his razor sharp teeth, unlike any you had seen before. He reached into his coat and pulled out a black book the size of his palm, holding it out to you. You hesitantly grabbed it. It was lightweight and had no pages inside - just the inside cover on each side of the book. Words were written in black ink, scrawled across the surface messily. It was written in a language you could not understand. "I can save them, but it'll cost you."
Your brow furrowed, voice hoarse after days of crying. "Anything. I'll pay anything."
"Excellent!" He tapped a long, bony finger to the center of the book. The ink started to squirm across the surface of the book, forming words that you could understand. "You will enter into one of these contracts with me. I will save the life of your precious sibling and as payment, you will meet the terms of the contract. Fail to do so and your sibling will die on the spot. Don't bother searching for loop holes either - many have tried, and failed."
"I just... pick one?"
"Well don't you catch on quick." He rolled his eyes, voice growing impatient as he held out a fountain pen. "Pick one and sign your name. Quickly now, I don't have all day!"
Swallowing down the nerves lurking on the surface of your mind, you grabbed the pen and quickly signed your name. The black ink turned red and it began to drip down the page, but he snapped it shut before it could fall to the floor. You opened your mouth to question him, but the nurse rushed into the room, informing you that your sibling was awake. The deal long forgotten, you rushed out of the room, missing the smirk on the man's face as he slowly faded into black mist.
Six months passed and life had returned to normal. The deal was long forgotten and you now talked to your sibling everyday, often texting back and forth throughout the day. It was Autumn now, the wind chilly as it knocked colorful leaves from their homes atop trees. A strange letter arrived on your doorstep, the envelope old and worn. There was no return address, and your name had been messily scrawled in black ink. When you broke the seal on the back, everything came flooding back to you.
In your hands was the contract, stating what you needed to do to keep your sibling from dying.
Deadly Seven (page left)
Lucifer's children have been running a muck and refusing to listen to what he says. He's had enough of their misbehavior and has enlisted your help to get them back on track. How can he possibly win any war when his children have the attention span of a flea? They must be turned into proper soldiers before reaching adulthood. It will be your job to tame them and keep them from dying!
How to begin:
Start off by making your sim any way you want, with any traits or aspirations - they must be a young adult or adult. After that, you will be adding seven other sims, all of them teenagers (gender does not matter). Here's what you need for each one:
Envy - Green hair and eyes / Jealous, Erratic, Childish / Any Creative
Gluttony - Dark brown hair and eyes / Glutton, Foodie, Bro / Bodybuilder
Greed - Yellow hair and eyes / Kleptomaniac, Perfectionist, Materialistic / Any Nature
Lust - Purple hair and eyes / Romantic, Noncommittal, Hates Children / Soulmate
Pride - Black hair and eyes / Self-Assured, Snob, Genius / Renaissance Sim
Sloth - Blue hair and eyes / Gloomy, Lazy, Loner / Master Chef
Wrath - Red hair and eyes / Hot-Headed, Ambitious, Evil / Friend of the World
How to beat the challenge:
In order to beat the challenge, you must whip these kids into shape before they become adults! How, you may ask? Well, each teen comes with a goal they must accomplish, aka their aspiration, and must each get an A in school at least once before maintaining a B or A average. It will be difficult, because each aspiration will have them be the opposite that they are now, but you're a smart and resourceful sim. Here's what you need to do:
Envy must learn to stop being jealous of others and appreciate the talent that they have within them.
Gluttony must go from obese to fit and learn to control their self when it comes to indulging.
Greed must learn that money does not grow on trees and must donate $10,000 to charity from the items they collect.
Lust must throw out their serial romantic ways and find the one that can tame their heart for good.
Pride must learn to become humble while learning to appreciate their hard work and the hard work of others.
Sloth must stop being lazy and learn the value of hard work by mastering the Chef career.
Wrath must learn to stop being angry and wanting to harm others by befriending them.
Some guidelines:
You are not allowed to age up the kids, they must age up on their own. Your sim must not die and must remain with them until the last child reaches adulthood. If this doesn't appeal to you, no worries! That's why they are called guidelines and not rules~
Seven Deadly Sims (page right)
Lucifer requires children to aid him in battle, but he has neither the time nor patience to raise the little demons himself. Thanks to his second in command, you have been contracted to start the lineage of sin. Starting with yourself, your family must bare seven generations of children that will, once adults, be taken to live with him and join his army. He expects you to train them through the hard years and make sure they are battle ready!
How to begin:
Create a young adult or adult sim (that's you). They can look however you want and the traits/aspiration do not matter. You can have a partner if you wish, or meet one in the world. If you create your partner, the relationship must be set to "roommate" - building the relationship is part of the challenge! Once you have your sim(s), move into any world/home - it really doesn't matter. The challenge begins as soon as your child is born. You can have as many kids as you want, but only one can be the chosen one.
How to beat the challenge:
This is a legacy challenge spanning seven generations. Your sim must live with each generation as a protector, using youth potions to remain alive. The challenge ends after the final generation accomplishes their goal - you don't have to do them in the following order. The goals are as follows:
Envy is Jealous, Erratic, Childish and wants to be the envy of everyone around them by becoming FABULOUSLY WEALTHY and having exactly two children - a boy and a girl.
Gluttony is a Glutton, Foodie, Bro and wants to create amazing dishes to pig out on by becoming a MASTER CHEF and having four kids.
Greed is a Kleptomaniac, Perfectionist, Materialistic and wants to be a MANSION BARON with a home filled with items they've stolen (at least $50,000 total in stolen goods) and exactly one child.
Lust is Romantic, Noncommittal, Hates Children and wants to WooHoo with as many people as possible by being a SERIAL ROMANTIC and accidentally becoming pregnant.
Pride is Self-Assured, Snob, Genius and wants to show everyone how much better they are by becoming a NERD BRAIN and having five children.
Sloth is Gloomy, Lazy, Loner and wants to mooch off of his hardworking partner while relaxing and focusing on being an ANGLING ACE and having as many children as possible to do all the housework.
Wrath is Hot-Headed, Ambitious, Evil and wants to teach the world a lesson by becoming PUBLIC ENEMY number one or MASTER VAMPIRE and having one to three children.
Some guidelines:
As stated above, these can be done in any order, and I tried to leave it as open as possible so people have many different ways to play. You can use the colors from the left page if you like. Babies can be aged up after 24 hours of life, toddlers must max all skills before aging up, children must max one skill and get an A in school and teens+ must age up naturally. Again, these are just guidelines and not rules~
Final Thoughts
I hope this isn't too similar to other challenges, and I hope you guys enjoy playing this. Please keep in mind that what I've put down is how I plan to play and you can change up anything you want to make the challenge more enjoyable for yourself. It's not a competition or a race, it's meant to help mix up the way you play and help you enjoy the game from a different aspect, so mix it up as much as you want!
I'd love to see some results of your challenge. As of the date of this post, I have not started this challenge myself so feel free to let me know if there's a problem or an issue that needs to be addressed.
Have a good day, and keep on simmin'! ;)
