Here are some photos of my visit with Orphan teen, Coal Moore who as mentioned under his photo in Khaled's update, Nothing is know about his parents as they are not in his family tree, so maybe he was abandoned or his parents died in a tragic accident before he could walk. In any case, Coal grew up in an orphanage and then upon becoming a teenager, he decided to try and make it on his own so that other young orphans could have the same chance he did as a child. Coal decided to try and make it on his own.
After leaving the orphanage, Coal was given enough social assistance to buy a nice starter home in Copperdale so that he could be near the high school he attends. Being a vegetarian, Coal is probably one of the few children in the orphanage who never complained about eating them. He also likes to work with his hands and hopes to sell crafts, furniture or anything else he can build while in high school. Coal's first dream is complete the Goal-Orientated teen aspiration and just has to reach level three in the retail career after having lots of fun in Copperdale's drama club. Coal also has a romantic partner relationship with Tyrone's sister, Ann so I may move him and Elaina Engle (who is Tyrone's partner from high school and is waiting for her to graduate) Coal will stay with them while I'm putting together his home in Copperdale on my new laptop. That way the relationships between these sims can remain intact (I hope).
Here are some pictures of the home I built for him. Since Coal will be moving to my new Valley Orphan Sim game save, I've shared all of the rooms so that his house can be put back together unless the lot sharing issue has been resolved. It will be kind of like a house in-a-box kit, I guess.
Here is the front of the house before adding decor to the patio.
Side and back view
Side patio with outdoor cooking items and dining.
Here's the front patio with some decor. The home decor uses the Basics, Mid Century, French Country and Boho styles.
This is the entry hall with a staircase to the basement on the other side of the half-wall. The desk will probably move upstairs if and when a second floor needs to be added in the future.
Next up is the living/kitchen area done in Coal's favorite red and gray colors
This is Coal's bedroom. I used the Snowy Escape decor for wall accents but will probable refrain from using them in the future since, they can be picked up without being in build mode. I've accidentally done that several times and have had to go into build to put them back just right.
Here is the main floor bathroom. Below shows Coal making friends with his talking toilet. That can happen when Sims live alone.
This is the small bath of the downstairs hobby area. Have been trying different wall decor for accents and used the French Country signs sized smaller. It's tricky getting good pictures in small areas even with the free camera.
This is Coal's downstairs hobby room decorate in his favorite yellow & gray colors.
This part was decorated just before I finished last night's game play.
A little pumpkin carving nook behind the stairs.
I'll share the candid photos in the next posts.
Hope you all enjoy the photos and the extra ones in my previous one with Khaled. There is a also a background story for Orson & Teulia Lorford in that post.
Coal’s home is lovely 🙂 The sloped roofing is great. Very nice glass roof porches. The outdoors cooking and dining area is great. The interior furnishing is lovely. The room colours are very nice and great wall patterns. The design of each room is very nice. Very lovely open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The pumpkin carving nook is great. The photos of Coal and other sims enjoying spending time at the flea market, and at the school are very nice 🙂.
