Just stopping by with some pictures of the house that I'm building for my newest Orphan Teen or left home for some reason as a teenager but will figure that out after he gets settled into his future new home in Henford.
Meet the newest teen Sim who will be joining my Silverford Valley rotation. His name is Clyde Slack and after researching his last name, it apparently originates from the Yorkshire, Derbyshire & Lancashire regions of Northern England which are areas that inspired Henford-on-Bagley so that turns out to be a good world to put him in. His backstory will probably be based on this information and the fact that he wants to be a Country Caretaker.
This is the shell of Clyde's new home in Henford-on-Bagley that is being built on the 14 Nettle Lane lot which I believe used to be the Moody home. The exterior uses two of his favorite colors, red & white with Farmhouse style siding & windows, Mission windows, doors & friezes and French Country. Clyde is my second teen sim to not like the Basics decor style so this house will be built & decorated without these items except for a washer and dryer. Anyways this is the front view of Clyde's future county home.
View from the back. I used a country house plan that was in my Facebook newsfeed as a guide but had to modify it to fit the lot.
Here is an interior view of the main floor layout with the walls down. The master bedroom will be in the back left corner with the up & down staircases at the end of the hallway. Just the staircase to the downstairs has been placed for now until there's a need for a second floor. There's a spare room to the left of the entry with space for the main bath between the two bedrooms and the hallway will have an archway access. Future open kitchen/dining at the back with living area in the front. I'm debating on whether or not to make a full wall dividing the living & kitchen with an archway of sorts but will see how things go.
Overview with walls up.
This is the front & side wrap around porch. The original plan had just a front step with a covered roof so I decided to keep it covered by extending the roof instead of making a glass covered one since making a separate roof over it didn't really work in this case but maybe if a second floor is added, I'll probably just have an open balcony above it.
That's all for now and I hope to start decorating Clyde's living & kitchen areas today.
The exterior design of Clyde’s home is very nice. 🙂 The red and white colours are great and very nice wraparound porch. The interior layout is great. I hope that the furnishing goes well 🙂
