Hope that you're all having a Wonderful Wednesday!
Just stopping by with a couple pictures of the remake of a kitchen that I'm doing in an old build for one of the households that I'm putting in my Valley Gold game save. The household features the young adult ghost of Alma Tedford who is a 4th generation descendant of the 2017 version of my simself, Jan Tedford. To make a long story short, Alma met an untimely end shortly after graduating from high school from uncontrollable laughter. At the time, Alma was just getting into a romantic relationship with her future soulmate and best friend, Devonte Randolph whom she had met while in high school.
I don't remember all the details, but when Alma had finished high school (before the expansion pack), she had gone over to visit Devonte who had his own home by then and due to her gregarious trait (Friend of the World aspiration) which caused Alma to frequently get very playful. While Alma was visiting Devonte she had her fateful last laugh. Since it was the first time that something like that had happened to one of my sims and I didn't want it to ruin Devonte's chances of completing his soulmate aspiration, I added him to my game rotation and he invited Alma to move in with him as a ghost so that she wouldn't fade from the world and could still attend university as a ghost. After Alma graduated, the two of them were married and shortly after that adopted a young toddler. At the time I kept Alma in her 'ghost' form instead of bringing her back to life since she has the 'Uncontrollable Laughter' trait from the cause of death so I think that keeping her as a ghost will prevent her from experiencing the same fate if she was to be brought back to life.
Devonte & Alma will be living in the original house that I built for them which was pretty much finished except for now that I'm planning to redo the nursery and trying to make the decor a bit less cluttered than it was but am trying not to make too many changes. The kitchen is getting a makeover, but it looks like the entry all may need one as well but am hoping that recoloring what is there will work.
Here is the new kitchen so far.
The kitchen will be using the Basics, Island, Vintage, Queen Anne, Farmhouse decor styles with touches of Contemporary
This is Devonte & Alma's original home. I've also toned down the flower border a bit but didn't get a picture of the change.
This is the main floor layout which I'm hoping to not have to change too much but may change the entry to match the new kitchen decor better.
That's all for now. Plan to introduce Alma and Devonte when I post the back story that I revised for them in the other thread.
Their kitchen is looking lovely 🙂Very nice blue, white and green colours. The leafy wall panelling is very nice and gives a great nature themed look and feel to the room. The furnishing is lovely and great bar counter area.
