Just stopping by with pictures of Kiano's bedroom using mainly the Contemporary decor style with Farmhouse, French Country & Event touches with mainly a blue & gray color scheme with hints of black. It's called 'Contemporary Dreaming' in my gallery. The upstairs bath and basement area will be decorated in the future as needed.
Guess I should add something to Kiano's dresser or maybe wait until he finds some collectibles which probably won't be frogs due to his 'Squeamish' nature.
The landing area is lovely 🙂The floral wall pattern is pretty, and very nice black and grey colours with a touch of blue. Sims will enjoy playing chess, reading, using the computer and playing the piano there. The balloons are a nice touch above the curtains.
Thanks for the comments on my 'Ivory 'i'yes Reimagined' build so far. I'm thinking of naming it that once Kiano's bedroom is decorated. Although it's looking more like a normal house now, the narrow octagon deck & balcony still give it the look with the 'dot over the lower case 'i'.
Just finished decorating the upstairs landing area with a fireplace next to the future upstairs bathroom, a place to read books, gaming computer, and other items. Added touches of blue to the color scheme of black & gray with the decor styles of Farmhouse, Art Deco, Contemporary and Events which should be a preferenc choice in CAS so that sims can enjoy that style, too.
Will start with the gallery picture of the room giving this angled view. It's called Farmhouse Art Events.
Added the picture on the wall above the staircase after sharing the room and realizing that I missed that spot.
That's all for now and hope to get Kiano's bedroom decorated tonight so that he can get settled into his new home. Hope to just play him for a couple of sim days so that he can get settled and I can figure out a backstory for him.
The bathroom is lovely 🙂 The black and grey colour scheme is very nice and great corner laundry washer/dryer nook. The celing light is pretty. The furnishing and room design is lovely.
rosemow Thanks for the comments on makeover of Kiano's home so far.
Just finished decorating the main bathroom for Kiano's future home staying with the black & gray color scheme. Used mainly the French Country & Art Deco styles with touches of Contemporary. Hopefully he won't hate the basic washer, dryer & laundry basket too much but at least he'll have clean clothes.
The makeover of the home is lovely! 🙂The exterior design and added levels are great. The outdoors dining patio area off from the kitchen is very nice. Very lovely furnishing of the interior. The black and grey colours are very nice. The layout is great.
The industrial home is great! 🙂Very nice exterior design and the greenhouse is great. The pool area is very nice. I hope that your sims’ work on turning it green goes well.
Just stopping by with some pictures of the latest build I'm doing for the Orphan Teen in my game. His name is Kiano Ibarra and has become good friends with Yahir during my visit with the Engles. Since Kiano has the Academic aspiration, I decided to build him a home in Britechester where he can live and go to university at the same time after graduating from high school.
I'm using one of my early 'Alphabet' houses called 'Ivory 'i' yes' which was basically just a small rectangle house with a narrow octagon cooking area off the kitchen. The original build was done long before 'Seasons' came out so weather back then wasn't a factor.
Below are pictures of the original build and then the modifications I made to it for Kiano by enlarging the rectangle part of the 'I' and the 'octagon' dot for the outdoor dining part and added a second story with a narrow octagon balcony of Kiano's future bedroom.
This is copied from the gallery save of this lot for the 'before' exterior photo.
Here are two interior views of the original design. Back then I kept the decor very minimalistic to make it a good starter home for a single sim.
Now for the pictures of the remake of 'Ivory 'i'yes'.
Due to the shape of this lot, I turned the lowercase I shaped house sideways and made it a bit larger. Kept the narrow octagon side deck for the 'dot' over the 'i' and added a balcony above it. Since Kiana has a dislike for style 'Basics' decor I'm trying to do the build without using that design category. The only exception to that may be a washer and dryer so that he can have clean clothes. The exterior uses Kiano's new found decor favorites of Contemporary & Farmhouse styles. As you can see, I tried something different to use for 'shutters' so his home looks like it's being invaded by llamas & a few goats. Used 2 of Kiano's favorite colors for both the exterior and living area, black & gray.
This is the back view. One of the funny things about Kiano's preferences is that although he dislikes basics decor, Kiano is fine with Basic fashion as long as he's wearing it himself and gets 'turned off' when other sims wear that style.
Here are two views of Kiano's living/kitchen area which is also decorated in black & gray. Kiano does not like the color 'green' so I only put a couple of plants by the TV that did have greenery in them.
This room also uses decor from the Farmhouse & Contemporary categories along with Industrial and a touch of Art Deco. Hope to decorate his upstairs bedroom and seating area later. There's space for a spare bedroom & hobby area downstairs in the future and if and when he has a family, a third floor can easily be added in the future..
This is the side deck off the kitchen. The frieze does jet into the house a bit but is covered by the upper kitchen cabinets.
