Hope you all had a great day. Since I got notice in yesterday's game play that the Nadir household is expecting their first child, I decided to go into their penthouse via build mode to make sure they had a nursery. My project is quickly progressing to a partial reno, though as I'm now planning to redecorate the 2nd floor hallway, turn the office into another bedroom and add two more bedrooms and a bath on the top level just in case their family expands by more than one. In my main game save, they took awhile to start a family but once Aziz & Valentina started having children, their household almost filled up. I hope to use mostly rooms from my gallery but I created a whole new nursery for them. Here are the pictures.
I may put extra cradle, crib and toddler bed in other rooms in case the Nadirs welcome home more than one child. Twins and triplets have been popular in my games lately.
I'll continue with Akshara's story after finishings these few renovations .
Congratulations to them on the upcoming birth of their little baby! 💗Their nursery is lovely 🙂 The floral wall pattern is pretty and very nice orange yellow and blue/green room colours. The curtains are very nice and cute animal wall art. The kid furnishings are lovely. The canopies over the bed and bassinet are pretty.
I don't want to change too much in the Nadir penthouse but am adding an extra cradle, crib and toddler bed in what I think is the master bedroom. Removed the door from the room the bathroom so the access is just from the hallway now and rearranged the furniture. The walls are kind of bland so may add some wall accents and pictures in keeping with the room's current decor. Once I'm finished all of the renos, I'm thinking of disabling the 'move in and move out' parts of the neighborhood stories for them. It's turning into a bigger project than I planned. One thing seems to lead to another.
Hope you're all having a 'Marvelous Monday'. Here are a couple of pictures of the few additions that I made to the Nadir family's master bedroom to make it a bit less boring and added extra beds for young children in case the couple welcome home twins. Kept the original furniture but rearranged it to make the room more accommodating and efficient. I also found three bedrooms and a bath to complete the third floor changes that were made as well as replace the second floor office with a bedroom. Aziz & Valentina should now be able to expand their family more if they want to. Plan to decorate the third floor landing and outdoor areas another time but the Nadir family can continue on with their lives for now.
Usually I like making sure that all the in world households have what they need to raise a family especially with the new infant decor needs and/or extra kids stuff when twins or triplets are involved. Sometimes I add the items to the current setup in their houses but will also find builds from the gallery to replace the existing house that will fit their needs.
Other times I just replace the houses from the gallery in neighborhoods to refresh the neighbor or build up Newcrest and use households from the main or friends' galleries to help populate Newcrest and and some neighbors in other neighborhoods that only have one occupied house. I generally keep notes of where I get the lots and/or households in case someone in those families end up married or in a relationship with my Sims. However, when I was wrestling with whether or not to keep playing there were times I would completely uninstall the game and then deleted my notes. Now that I'm back for good and have started new notes, I have forgotten where a lot of the builds I have in my game came from, same with some of the households. Some of them I've found again but others are too hard to find again. For those builds and households, if somehow they end up in my stories, I'll note that they came from the gallery so that you'll know I'm not claiming them as my own.
That's all for now and will probably get back to playing Akshara & Jennifer this evening and finish the summer week with them before going to my next household. First I have a long walk planned for this afternoon. Now that my sugars are stable, I'm hoping to keep them that way.
Writing is like breathing to me, it's something I just have to do. You can put your stories on Creative Corner. That's where I have my Cantrell stories. I just scrolled through your wordpress and you have some very interesting stories there.
The master bedroom is lovely 🙂The green and brown colours are very nice. It is nice that there are corner areas for children to also sleep with their parents in the same room. The plants and the Autumn trees wall prints are very nice on the wall. I hope that you enjoyed your walk ❤️
I was doing that but apparently whoever approves the post didn't like what I had written and kept getting the 'Invalid HTML error message', even after deleting all simmer and links to other pages like my old Sims 3 thread which I won't both linking anymore since no one has posted in it for over two years. Maybe it will let me post a little bit of back on how I got started creating Orphan Sim households. I was finally able to get the first new thread started by keeping the initial post short and sweet. It's called 'Silver Valley Orphans', I hope to be able to close my other thread after transferring the current household stories into their respective threads. If closing the Valley Variety thread is possible.
Sometimes the forums likes to make things complicated for me. it might help if the error message would say what the issue actually is instead of being vague.
Anyways, my phone is almost charged now, so I'll go on my walk soon.
I was finally able to get my new my new Silver Valley Orphan thread going.. Guess it works best if I start with a smaller post and then edit the post to complete it, The introduction and Orphan Veer's story are now posted in the thread. You are all welcome to stop by for a visit and share your Sims and stories if you'd like. Maybe sometime I can create a Sims 4 friends thread like my old Sims 3 one, Friends and Sims Share your Stories but with a new name. Any ideas for this would be welcome.
Since I deleted Veer's pictures after posting the house pictures, I copied the family pictures to Veer's story in my new thread.
