#BnS103 - Dream A Little Dream

You walk through the main office doors and can’t help but think of how much Karl would love this! The reception area is just the thing he’s always wanted. He doesn’t know you know, but you know he secretly has always wished for this or that to make his job here easier, and this set-up has it all.
There is ample seating for clients, and a wonderfully large conference room for you to take meetings in. It’s… you didn’t even know it was what you wanted until you stood looking at it in awe.
You have to see your office! You look around, opening doors until you find the one that must be yours, and like everything else you’ve seen, it is perfect. So much so you wonder how anyone could ever have built such a thing. It doesn’t even seem real.
You are about to go see the last thing, the most important thing, the thing that you want to see more than anything when the intercom buzzes, waking you from your sleep.
You sit up and rub your eyes, blinking as you look around at your real office, the perfect one of your dreams lingering in your mind’s eye.
The intercom buzzes again and you finally answer it.
“Yes, Karl?”
“Well, we’re pretty slow, no clients on the schedule. I was wondering if I might take off early.”
“Oh. Yes, of course. Before you do, can you come in here for a moment?”
“On my way,” he says.
You grab a pencil and paper and begin to furiously draw everything you can remember from your dream. After all, business has been more than good lately, and you are feeling like maybe you’ve outgrown this place.
When Karl pokes his head in you look up and grin. “Karl, how would you like to have a new office?”

Room Challenge
Create your dream private office suite. The suite must include a client meeting area, design/work space, and executive amenities such as a private restroom, wet bar, etc.
Budget: $75,000
Size Limit: 40 squares in any layout you choose (it can be smaller if you wish). Be sure to include a slide showing the layout square count in your entry slideshow.

ENTRY DETAILS: The ground floor consists of reception area & “meet and greet” the potential clients. On the first floor, there’s a conference room for meeting & presentation area, VIP room for the high-profile clients, and 2 bathrooms. On the second floor, there’s an office and a canteen (sunroof) for the staffs to refresh as well as to entertain the clients. The studio/workplace is located on the top floor (sunroof) with balcony and a small rooftop garden. A small café is located at the back of the building, that can be accessed from the ground floor, which is what I always wanted if I have my own building (because I love coffee so much). The 2 fountains and the sculptures are placed to add the whimsical sense to the building, which reflect the owner.

ENTRY DETAILS: I envisioned this office as specializing in making technology and homes accessible for people with disabilities. They also create signs meant to be easily understood, using large print, Braille and images as needed. The ground floor bathrooms are both spacious enough for walkers or wheelchairs. The special feature is the gym, complete with showers and lockers, because if I had an office, I'd want a gym close by.

ENTRY DETAILS: Bright Night Offices is a wonderful group of offices. There are some shelves in the Executive Office with some extra space. Karl gets his own office for slow days or if you decide to hire a different receptionist. There are 4 decorated desks for extra employees (I would imagine that with this big office you would have more employees so you could work on more projects). There is stuff there for an office cat (which I feel the employee with all the cat stuff would have brought in) such as many resting spots, a cat bowl, and a litter box in the executive bathroom.

My special something: I often get asked how I did this or that when designing and so I decided to start up my own DIY youtube channel. We built a nice large room for recording that also functions as another office when we take on extra designers for larger projects. It also has roof top access for doing some landscaping videos, or for just relaxing.

ENTRY DETAILS: Envision... an adventure in architecture. The office was designed to serve as a showcase of the different styles of builds that Envision can and has created. The building is a modern design featuring a floating cottage. The landscaping shows different styles of landscaping, as well as different plants. Inside, each level showcases a different style of interior design. The 4th level features a game room and small daycare area. Credit to @kilra0 for the elevator design, kilra0 used a similar elevator design in the last BnS challenge.... thank you for the inspiration.

ENTRY DETAILS: How do you do a dream office on a budget?? This is how I do it, at least. Modern, crisp, combining concrete with natural woods, with bright color accents and lots of natural light. The thing I always wanted? Living green walls. I've been obsessed with them since I first saw one in real life, so of course that had to be a thing in this build.

A converted factory with both industrial and contemporary elements... I wanted this office to be in an industrial setting, so I chose the docks of Brindleton Bay. The backstory is that this was a former bread factory that I have converted into office space. The offices retain many industrial elements that have been incorporated into the design. Exposed brick and industrial piping show the factory history of the lot while floating stairs, glass elements and contemporary furnishings give a modern twist.
The special touch that I have always wanted is a wine cellar. This feature is found in the basement "executive apartment" (for out-of-town clients or when I need a place to crash), and contains many hand crafted vintages from Champs Les Sims and around the world.

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM ~ From The Ground Up ~
Newly developed office building in Uptown San Myshuno. The building has been designed for and by the architects at the highly appraised architectural firm ‘From the ground up’. As all of the employees have a severe passion for coffee (some might say unhealthy addiction), of course a coffee shop is included, and espresso machines and coffee makers are to be found on each floor.
This office building is made like building blocks – in different colors (white, grey and blue). It's a modern building, and it suits the surrounding uptown area perfectly. The building is placed on a lot with the most perfect outlook over the city, and the architects really had this stunning view in mind when they designed this house, as there are patios on each floor – some floors more than one.
Layout
Ground floor: Reception, back office (Karl’s office), coffee shop, toilets. From the back office, there’s a private elevator going to the management offices on the top floor. From the coffee shop, there’s access to a large patio with ocean view, furnished with high tables and a foosball table.
First floor: Offices, break room, toilets. Access to patio with seating.
Second floor: Conference floor. Conference room, small lounge area with kitchen and espresso machines. Toilets. Access to three patios.
Third floor: Management floor. Manager’s office including kitchen facilities, espresso machines and coffee maker. Private toilet. Meeting room. Access to large patio with seating.
Build includes elevators to all floors. One elevator is private for the management. This can be accessed on the ground floor only via the reception back office (Karl’s office).
My special addition: Coffee. Lots and lots of coffee! In-house coffee shop. And espresso machines and coffee makers all over the place!

My special something: I often get asked how I did this or that when designing and so I decided to start up my own DIY youtube channel. We built a nice large room for recording that also functions as another office when we take on extra designers for larger projects. It also has roof top access for doing some landscaping videos, or for just relaxing.

ENTRY DETAILS: Envision... an adventure in architecture. The office was designed to serve as a showcase of the different styles of builds that Envision can and has created. The building is a modern design featuring a floating cottage. The landscaping shows different styles of landscaping, as well as different plants. Inside, each level showcases a different style of interior design. The 4th level features a game room and small daycare area. Credit to @kilra0 for the elevator design, kilra0 used a similar elevator design in the last BnS challenge.... thank you for the inspiration.

ENTRY DETAILS: How do you do a dream office on a budget?? This is how I do it, at least. Modern, crisp, combining concrete with natural woods, with bright color accents and lots of natural light. The thing I always wanted? Living green walls. I've been obsessed with them since I first saw one in real life, so of course that had to be a thing in this build.

A converted factory with both industrial and contemporary elements... I wanted this office to be in an industrial setting, so I chose the docks of Brindleton Bay. The backstory is that this was a former bread factory that I have converted into office space. The offices retain many industrial elements that have been incorporated into the design. Exposed brick and industrial piping show the factory history of the lot while floating stairs, glass elements and contemporary furnishings give a modern twist.
The special touch that I have always wanted is a wine cellar. This feature is found in the basement "executive apartment" (for out-of-town clients or when I need a place to crash), and contains many hand crafted vintages from Champs Les Sims and around the world.

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM ~ From The Ground Up ~
Newly developed office building in Uptown San Myshuno. The building has been designed for and by the architects at the highly appraised architectural firm ‘From the ground up’. As all of the employees have a severe passion for coffee (some might say unhealthy addiction), of course a coffee shop is included, and espresso machines and coffee makers are to be found on each floor.
This office building is made like building blocks – in different colors (white, grey and blue). It's a modern building, and it suits the surrounding uptown area perfectly. The building is placed on a lot with the most perfect outlook over the city, and the architects really had this stunning view in mind when they designed this house, as there are patios on each floor – some floors more than one.
Layout
Ground floor: Reception, back office (Karl’s office), coffee shop, toilets. From the back office, there’s a private elevator going to the management offices on the top floor. From the coffee shop, there’s access to a large patio with ocean view, furnished with high tables and a foosball table.
First floor: Offices, break room, toilets. Access to patio with seating.
Second floor: Conference floor. Conference room, small lounge area with kitchen and espresso machines. Toilets. Access to three patios.
Third floor: Management floor. Manager’s office including kitchen facilities, espresso machines and coffee maker. Private toilet. Meeting room. Access to large patio with seating.
Build includes elevators to all floors. One elevator is private for the management. This can be accessed on the ground floor only via the reception back office (Karl’s office).
My special addition: Coffee. Lots and lots of coffee! In-house coffee shop. And espresso machines and coffee makers all over the place!
