#BnS112 - Seeing Double
The deadline for this challenge is 6th February 2019
You almost want to look at your drink and make sure someone didn’t slip something into it. You’ve seen twins before, but not quite like this. They are not only identical in their features, but their hair is done the same way, they have the exact same outfit on, and even their accessories match!
“We couldn’t ever be away from one another,” the first says. You think this one is Freya, but you’ve already gotten them mixed up.
The other, whom you are sure is Phoebe, agrees. “It would break our hearts!”
“And besides, this will help us save on bills!”
Well, that is a very practical approach, you agree.
“So we’d like a house that matches us!” You’ve given up trying to remember which one is which now.
“Well, two, but one.”
“Oh, a duplex!” You’re a little surprised that they didn’t seem to know the term but you finally realize what they’ve been getting at. “Two houses in a single building.”
They both grin. Even their reactions perfectly mirror one another.
“Perfect!” they say in unison
“So what do you both need in your houses?”
They each begin to speak, finishing each other’s sentences and reminding one another of a forgotten detail or offering a new idea. Eventually you have a list and go back over it to be sure.
“So you’ll each need two bedrooms, a third spare room that can be used as an office or hobby room, open living area, a shared backyard for ‘wicked’ parties with a pool and outdoor facilities. You generally want a more modern feel but you’re open to ideas, and you’d love a balcony somewhere to enjoy the views.”
They both nod excitedly as you read off each point and finally clap at the end.
“You’re the best!” Phoebe says - you think?
“We can’t thank you enough!” Freya cries - maybe?
THE BRIEF
Budget: 120,000
Create a duplex for identical twins Freya and Phoebe. Any town, no larger than 30x40 lot.
The duplex should be two connected residences which each contain:

★ 1 extra room for office or hobbies

ENTRY DETAILS: Freya & Phoebe are Sisters & Best friends. They are identical mirror images of each other. They are not only identical in their features - their hair is done the same way, they have the exact outfit on and even their accessories match. Yet they are opposites. But like Matching book ends they complement each other. One is neat , the other is a slob. One is artistic ,the other wants to be a you-tube celebrity. They both love the out doors and they both love to entertain company.. With many friends they have fun and party in to the night ..

ENTRY DETAILS: Modern Duplex offers 2 homes in one. Each is a 2 bed, 1 and 1/2 bath home with an additional office/utility room which could be converted to a third bedroom. It has open plan living with access to a shared backyard complete with B-B-Q facilities, al fresco dining and pool. The upstairs bedrooms have access to a large shared balcony that covers the width of the two homes. Each home is a mirror image of the other. Decor is modern with a slightly colourful and funky beat to match the energy of the twins.

ENTRY DETAILS: Located in Oasis Springs ,at Pebble Burrow. Pebble Burrow is in the Bedrock Strait section of Oasis Springs. Bedrock Strait is a working-class neighborhood. New households to Oasis Springs usually settle here first because the properties are less expensive here compared to other neighborhoods. That's Why Pebble Burrow was chosen, Not only for its Gorgeous desert Views, But the price tag was right.. The empty lot was Valued at $1.500 . A Duplex was built to Match Twins Freya & Phoebe . The Two are inseparable , Mirror images of each other. Yet they are opposites. But like Matching book ends they complement each other..Each Unit contains- on the 2nd floor- 2 bed rooms , Office & a Bathroom . Main floor has an open concept with a kitchen, dining area living room & a Bath room.. Shared in the yard is a pool and enough space through out for guests and for Entertaining..

I had a hard time deciding between this one and one of my other builds. The other one has triple the downloads in the gallery already, so I may have shot myself in the foot, but this one makes me happy :) (I may have been watching one too many episodes of Caribbean Life, lol!)
Freya and Phoebe have decided to move to the beautiful Siminican Republic! Their jobs give them the flexibility to work from home, so they figured it might as well be somewhere fun! They have purchased a modern Caribbean style home that has the perfect backyard for throwing some great parties. They are excited to begin their new life in a tropical country.

ENTRY DETAILS: I was trying for a bright, coastal color scheme that suited Del Sol Valley, thus lots of green and white with some yellow and blue in the interior. Both sides are completely identicial with the exception of a completed mural in the right half and a crookedly plced stereo. The backyard has plenty of room and options for partying - swimming, grilling, dancing, just hanging out.

ENTRY DETAILS: Build submission for clients, Phoebe and Freya and the "Seeing Double" Challenge. After seeing some prior submissions on the thread, I wanted to come up with an option for the twins that was more homey, but still offered a modern style and finish. Coming in under budget, this twin farmhouse duplex is designed to be newly renovated and perfectly mirrored. Each of the twin residencies feature; 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a small office space, open living & eating quarters, hobby room, as well as a shared pool & bar patio. Enjoy!
Quick tip, identifying the twins is easy! Phoebe is left handed, and Freya is right! ... or... is it... the other way around ?

ENTRY DETAILS: This is two separate homes connected by a 2 story party room. Each home has a common area with a loft or bonus room. The bedrooms are like little cabins at 90 degrees to the common rooms resulting in a big C shape around a back courtyard. The courtyard contains the pool. The patio extends out of the courtyard where there is a grill, dining table, fire pit and chess table. The red 2 story party room has a bar and Foosball on the main floor and DJ booth and dance floor on the second floor. It also has tinted windows for privacy. The yellow home on the left belongs to Phoebe. In her bonus room there is a gym. The blue home on the right belongs to Freya. Freya's bonus room is a music room. Each home has a two bedrooms and a 4 pc bath with laundry. Behind each of the bonus rooms is a small balcony. Phoebe's has a table fire and card table. Freya's has an easel and chairs to relax.

So, when it comes to their homes they want them to be alike too. The two duplex units in this building are the same, but mirror images of each other. Even the decor is the same. There are 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in each unit, with an office that could be converted easily to a third bedroom. Each unit has a private balcony in the front, with a long shared balcony in the back overlooking the pool. They love to entertain so the back patio and pool area is large enough to host fabulous parties!

Welcome to 'Two as One'
These little duplex houses are as identical as their owners. They are each others mirror images but because of the 'hugging C-shapes' of the ground-floor, there are slight differences. To keep things simple, I've arranged the images so that the pictures on the left are of the left house, and the pictures on the right of the right house. The twins are definitely enjoying this place! I hope you have as well :)

This is a great addition to any modern neighborhood. With a total of four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and two half-baths, there is enough flexibility for a wide range of uses and needs. The pool area in the rear gives you all you need for a great party - whether it's swimming, lounging poolside, barbecuing, or even randomly starting things on fire (including yourself) with the firepit!

ENTRY DETAILS: The Mullet, business in the front, party in the back! The duplex has a modern feel and some bold colours (or should I say, chaotic :D ). Both homes are almost completely the same, but there's a slight variation of colours in the interior, and the left home has a study where the right home has a social media room. Both sides have 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The small balcony is shared and the backyard has a pool, bar, seating area and BBQ for all dem wild parties. Furniture isn't top of the line, I struggled to keep it within budget, but surely the ladies can save up some money and upgrade later :# (or just move it to a cheaper lot... kind of shot myself in the foot there) The only 2 rooms not pictured in the slideshow are the tiny bathrooms on the ground floor.

ENTRY DETAILS: The "Twin Cubes" is a duplex for the twin sisters Freya and Phoebe. The building looks like a sort of piled cubes with different textures and is build like a mirror. It has balconies in the four sides and vegetation in three levels. Each one gets a full separated house with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Phoebe has a music room and Freya gets a writing office. They share the backyard for their "wicked" parties.

ENTRY DETAILS: I tried to do something a little different for a Duplex and ended up with this Modern Scandanavian Build. Each Unit is almost identical with only a few slight differences. There is plenty of room out back for their "Wicked Parties" and beautiful views from all 3 balconies (if placed on the same lot I built it on)

You almost want to look at your drink and make sure someone didn’t slip something into it. You’ve seen twins before, but not quite like this. They are not only identical in their features, but their hair is done the same way, they have the exact same outfit on, and even their accessories match!
“We couldn’t ever be away from one another,” the first says. You think this one is Freya, but you’ve already gotten them mixed up.
The other, whom you are sure is Phoebe, agrees. “It would break our hearts!”
“And besides, this will help us save on bills!”
Well, that is a very practical approach, you agree.
“So we’d like a house that matches us!” You’ve given up trying to remember which one is which now.
“Well, two, but one.”
“Oh, a duplex!” You’re a little surprised that they didn’t seem to know the term but you finally realize what they’ve been getting at. “Two houses in a single building.”
They both grin. Even their reactions perfectly mirror one another.
“Perfect!” they say in unison
“So what do you both need in your houses?”
They each begin to speak, finishing each other’s sentences and reminding one another of a forgotten detail or offering a new idea. Eventually you have a list and go back over it to be sure.
“So you’ll each need two bedrooms, a third spare room that can be used as an office or hobby room, open living area, a shared backyard for ‘wicked’ parties with a pool and outdoor facilities. You generally want a more modern feel but you’re open to ideas, and you’d love a balcony somewhere to enjoy the views.”
They both nod excitedly as you read off each point and finally clap at the end.
“You’re the best!” Phoebe says - you think?
“We can’t thank you enough!” Freya cries - maybe?

After seeing some prior submissions on the thread, I wanted to come up with an option for the twins that was more homey, but still offered a modern style and finish. Coming in under budget, this twin farmhouse duplex is designed to be newly renovated and perfectly mirrored. Each of the twin residencies feature; 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a small office space, open living & eating quarters, hobby room, as well as a shared pool & bar patio. Enjoy!

ENTRY DETAILS: This is two separate homes connected by a 2 story party room. Each home has a common area with a loft or bonus room. The bedrooms are like little cabins at 90 degrees to the common rooms resulting in a big C shape around a back courtyard. The courtyard contains the pool. The patio extends out of the courtyard where there is a grill, dining table, fire pit and chess table. The red 2 story party room has a bar and Foosball on the main floor and DJ booth and dance floor on the second floor. It also has tinted windows for privacy. The yellow home on the left belongs to Phoebe. In her bonus room there is a gym. The blue home on the right belongs to Freya. Freya's bonus room is a music room. Each home has a two bedrooms and a 4 pc bath with laundry. Behind each of the bonus rooms is a small balcony. Phoebe's has a table fire and card table. Freya's has an easel and chairs to relax.

ENTRY DETAILS: The Mullet, business in the front, party in the back! The duplex has a modern feel and some bold colours (or should I say, chaotic :D ). Both homes are almost completely the same, but there's a slight variation of colours in the interior, and the left home has a study where the right home has a social media room. Both sides have 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The small balcony is shared and the backyard has a pool, bar, seating area and BBQ for all dem wild parties. Furniture isn't top of the line, I struggled to keep it within budget, but surely the ladies can save up some money and upgrade later :# (or just move it to a cheaper lot... kind of shot myself in the foot there) The only 2 rooms not pictured in the slideshow are the tiny bathrooms on the ground floor.

ENTRY DETAILS: I tried to do something a little different for a Duplex and ended up with this Modern Scandanavian Build. Each Unit is almost identical with only a few slight differences. There is plenty of room out back for their "Wicked Parties" and beautiful views from all 3 balconies (if placed on the same lot I built it on)

ENTRY DETAILS: Freya and Phoebe are ready to get their new duplex: the "Twin Cubes". Each one gets a full separated house, but they will share the backyard for their "wicked" parties. Freya wears glasses now and that makes it easy to tell who's who most of the time, as they insist in wear clothes and hairstyle as if they were a pair of clones.
